Bollywood actress, Preity Zinta's family has been going through the most difficult phase of their lives as they recently lost one of their close ones. The actress's husband, Gene Goodenough's father, Jon Swindle passed away On August 27, 2023. And the doting bahu, Preity penned a heartfelt note for her father-in-law as she said the final goodbye to him. For the unversed, the actress tied the knot with the man of her dreams, Gene in 2016. Later, in 2021, the lovebirds welcomed their twin babies, Jai and Gia, via surrogacy.
On August 27, 2023, Preity Zinta took to her Instagram handle and informed her massive fanbase about the sudden demise of her father-in-law, Jon Swindle. Sharing a throwback picture from her wedding, the doting bahu penned a heartfelt note for her late father-in-law. In her note, Preity mentioned how she is going to miss her father-in-law's warmth and kindness. Further, the actress added that she loved cooking Indian cuisine for her father-in-law. Her note can be read as:
"Dear Jon, I will miss your warmth, your kindness and most of all your incredible sense of humour. I loved going shooting with you, loved cooking your favourite Indian dishes and having conversations on every topic under the sun."

Further, in her note, Preity thanked her late father-in-law for welcoming her into his family with open arms. She also added how their home will never be the same again. Praying for his soul to rest at peace, the doting bahu mentioned:
"Thank you so much for opening your home and your heart to me and my family. The East Coast will never be the same without you. I know you are at peace right now and at a happy place. Rest in peace #RIP #RIPJOnSwindle #fatherinlaw #omshanti."
Being an avid social media user, Preity often drops priceless glimpses of her life. For instance, on July 11, 2023, the actress had taken to her IG handle and shared an adorable picture of her twins, Jai And Gia. The picture was captured by their loving mommy post-performing their mundan ceremony in Los Angeles. In the picture, Preity's twin babies could be seen facing their backs at the camera. Moreover, they looked cute in their respective ensembles. While Gia was clad in a grey frock, Jai twinned with his sister, in a grey tee paired with green pants.

Preity has shifted her base to Los Angeles after her marriage with her husband, Gene Goodenough. The much-in-love couple tied the knot on February 29, 2016. They exchanged vows as per the Hindu rituals in Los Angeles. For her wedding day, Preity donned a beautiful red-coloured lehenga. She completed her look with traditional jewellery and dewy makeup. On the other hand, her husband, Gene looked dapper in a golden-hued sherwani.
