Prateek Yadav's Last IG Post With Wife Surfaces, After Divorce Drama And 'Selfish Woman' Remark

Prateek Yadav's sudden demise confirmed that life is unpredictable, as just a few months ago, he wanted to divorce his wife, Aparna Yadav. Within a few weeks, the two revoked the divorce decision, but who knew that Prateek would leave for the heavenly abode within a few months. As per the autopsy, Prateek Yadav had a sudden heart attack.

On May 13, 2026, Prateek Yadav took his last breath at the wee hours. However, his wife was not in the town and was out for work. She ran back to her home the moment she found out about her husband's sudden demise. Now, we stumbled upon Prateek's last Instagram post with his wife, Aparna Yadav. It also featured their youngest daughter. The couple was seen enjoying their time in the pool in Iceland while Aparna gave a hug to her youngest daughter. The couple seemed to be having the time of their life as they smiled brightly for the camera. Sharing the post, Aparna had written:

"Blue lagoon with my doll. Pic credit to dear Prathama bitiya."

Prateek Yadav's death 

For the unversed, Prateek Yadav was the son. of Samajwadi Party founder, Mulayam Singh Yadav, and he is the step-brother of Akhilesh Yadav. He died at the age of 38. His death sparks a lot of buzz as reports claim that he fell suddenly ill. After which, he was rushed to the hospital in the early hours of May 13, 2026, where he was announced dead on arrival, as per PTI. 

Another report by NDTV claimed that Prateek had been suffering from health issues for a long time. He had lung-related complications and was undergoing treatment for a blood clot in his lungs. A post-mortem was conducted by a panel of doctors at King George's Medical University, and they found that he died due to sudden cardiac arrest. 

After the sudden demise of her husband, Prateek Yadav's Aparna Yadav, who is a BJP leader and State Women's Commission Vice Chairperson, reached her home in Lucknow on May 13, 2026. Prateek Yadav's mortal remains also arrived at his home, and his funeral will be held tomorrow, May 14, 2026. Aparna looked devastated as she rushed from the airport to be with her family in the most difficult time of their lives.

Prateek Yadav and Aparna Yadav went through a rollercoaster ride earlier this year, when, in January 2026, Prateek announced that he had decided to part ways with Aparna. He accused her of running his family. He went on to call his wife, Aparna, 'selfish' in a now-deleted post on Instagram. Not only this, he even went on to claim that Aparna had damaged his family dynamics. 

In the post, a visibly upset Prateek claimed that he wanted to end the marriage at the earliest. He further stated that his wife, Aparna, was more interested in becoming famous and influential. He even accused his wife of being unconcerned about his health, as he claimed his mental health had been suffering. However, within a few weeks, Prateek confirmed that he had decided to reconcile with his wife. 

After this divorce episode, Prateek took a 360-degree turn, and his Instagram feed was filled with happy photos of his wife with their two daughters. The family looked happy, but no one knew that it was the last few happy months of them together, as Prateek died after a sudden heart attack, as per the autopsy report.
