Prateek Yadav Suffered A Head Injury Hours Before His Death, Wife, Aparna Was Allegedly Not At Home

Mulayam Singh Yadav's son, Prateek Yadav, has passed away, leaving everyone shocked. The former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister's younger son died on the morning of May 13, 2026. While the cause of his death is yet to be released, the late businessman's gym partner has now revealed some updates about what happened in the hours before his sudden death.

Prateek Yadav passed away at the age of 38

Son of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Mulayam Singh Yadav and husband of BJP leader, Aparna Yadav, Prateek Yadav passed away in the early hours of May 13, 2026. However, the cause of his death is still unclear. According to the Civil Hospital director, Dr GP Gupta, the businessman passed away at the age of 38 around 6 a.m. on Wednesday. He confirmed Prateek's death and said that it was around 5 a.m. that they received the information that he was unwell, following which a team of doctors rushed to his residence. He was quoted as saying:

"When the doctors reached there, his condition appeared critical. He was brought to the hospital, and despite all efforts by the medical team, he was declared dead at 5:55 a.m."

Prateek Yadav's gym partner, Swapnesh Pandey, claims he suffered a head injury hours before his death

While confirmation of what happened to the late businessman is still pending, Prateek's gym partner, Swapnesh Pandey, has made a significant claim. He spoke to IANS and revealed that Prateek Yadav had fallen in his room in the late hours of May 12, 2026, injuring his head. His death was reported around 4-5 a.m. Swapnesh Pandey also shared that he went to the Civil Hospital after hearing the news of Pratik's death and called his friend a very good-natured man.

In the same conversation, Swapnesh Panday explained that Prateek Yadav had been undergoing treatment for a long time. However, his condition worsened at night, and he came to Lucknow Civil Hospital around 11-12 p.m. Nonetheless, after a while, he was discharged and brought back to his residence. He shared how Prateek's condition worsened upon reaching home and was quoted as saying:

"I heard that he (Pratik Yadav) had fallen in his bedroom, resulting in a head injury. My brother (Pratik Yadav) had been undergoing treatment for a long time. As far as I know, he slipped and fell in the bedroom at night, injuring his head."

Was Aparna Yadav not at home at the time of Prateek Yadav's fall?

Prateek Yadav's wife, Aparna Yadav's brother, Mukesh Singh, also spoke with IANS about Prateek's sudden death and revealed that he learned about his passing through social media on the morning of May 13, 2026. He claimed that his sister, Aparna, was not home when Prateek fell, hence he had no idea what had happened. He further said that Pratik was already a little unwell before his passing. However, the post-mortem report should clear everything.

Mukesh Singh added that when Pratik's health deteriorated, family members rushed him to the hospital. He confirmed that the post-mortem was completed, and they will soon be taking Prateek Yadav's mortal remains home. Since the news of Prateek's passing made rounds, his half-brother, Akhilesh, has also expressed his grief over the sudden passing. Mukesh in a conversation with IANS, was quoted as saying:

"I learned about this information this morning through social media. Since Aparna wasn't present at the time and was out, I only learned about it through social media. By then, he had passed away. This is a very sad event for me. We are with the family in this time of grief. Pratik's post-mortem has been completed. We will leave here with the body for home."
