Poonam Pandey Talked About Suffering From Brain Haemorrhage After Getting Beaten By Her Ex-Husband

Poonam Pandey Talked About Suffering From Brain Haemorrhage After Getting Beaten By Her Ex-Husband

Poonam Pandey passed away in her home town, Kanpur, leaving many in shock. According to the official statement, the actress and model had cervical cancer, and she gave a tough fight to it. While Poonam never talked about her health condition in the media or to her industry friends, she once talked about dealing with a health issue during her stint in the reality show, Lock Upp. Not many know Poonam had also been subjected to domestic violence during the early days of her marriage with her ex-husband, Sam Bombay.

Poonam Pandey revealed she suffered a brain haemorrhage due to domestic violence

In a 2022 interview with ETimes, Poonam Pandey shared a shocking detail about her ugly marriage with Sam Bombay. The actress revealed that she had lost her sense of smell completely because of the brain haemorrhage. She added that she was mentally and physically much stronger. The late actress also talked about taking therapy sessions which she had stopped to enter the reality show, Lock Upp. She was quoted as saying:

"There were times in the show when I couldn’t handle things anymore, and they would ask me how could they help me. The makers were very supportive. My body has gone through a lot physically and mentally. I see myself at a very peaceful stage because I feel ab isse zyaada kya hoga mere saath. I’ve crossed that stage. I feel that. I will see how things go and then opt for therapy."

When Poonam Pandey hinted at her health problem and not getting periods in the reality show, Lock Upp

After the news of Poonam Pandey's demise made rounds, many were not able to believe it as she had been working just a few days ago and also attended an event. However, the late actress had hinted at her health problem during her stint in the reality show, Lock Upp, which was hosted by Kangana Ranaut. While talking to Munawar, Poonam confessed of dealing with health issues and not getting periods. She further added that she cannot talk about it on camera. She said:

"I haven't had period for months and it because of which I've developed health issues. I've made you win so many tasks Munawar in the past. My body has had a few issues which I can't discuss on camera."

Poonam Pandey's manager, Parul confirmed her death

On February 2, 2024, Poonam Pandey's manager, Parul Chawla, confirmed the actress' death. In a conversation with India Today., Parul revealed that Poonam was diagnosed with last stage of cervical cancer sometime back. She further stated that Poonam was in her hometown, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, wherein she breathed her last.

On the morning of February 2, 2024, a post was published on Poonam Pandey's IG handle. The picture note revealed that Poonam passed away after giving a tough fight to cervical cancer. The post also requested privacy as the family could mourn the loss of her. The note could be read as:

''This morning is a tough one for us. Deeply saddened to inform you that we have lost our beloved Poonam to cervical cancer. Every living form that ever came in contact with her was met with pure love and kindness. In this time of grief, we would request for privacy while we remember her fondly for all that we shared.''
