Add BollywoodShaadis on GooglePerez Hilton has been trending after he was allegedly spotted harming himself in a TikTok Live video. The video, which went viral on August 4, 2026 (ET), left his viewers concerned, following which the police immediately arrived at his house in Florida to provide help. Perez was immediately hospitalized, and the deputies who were present at the scene also spoke to his family members.
While netizens have been worried about the circumstances that could have possibly been the reason behind Hilton’s alleged actions, latest reports have revealed that he was dealing with financial issues weeks before the live video went viral.
Perez Hilton was struggling with some financial problems

In the weeks before reports surfaced about his self-harm, Perez Hilton was said to be dealing with a lot of issues, including financial problems. The claims were made by some insiders, as per The Blast. Perez’s work had slowed down, his health issues were still lingering, and his finances were getting tight. The combination reportedly took a serious toll on Perez.
The year 2026 had already been rough for him. Hilton recovered from a severe case of sepsis that put him in the hospital for a long time. Shortly after, he decided to leave Las Vegas and head back to Miami, hoping a change of scenery would help reset things.
Perez Hilton told his friends that the move was about a new beginning. Notably, he aimed to be near family, find new work, and build something stable for his three kids. But settling in was not easy. In Las Vegas, he spent years building connections and name recognition. In Miami, that network wasn’t there. Jobs were harder to come by, and the cost of starting over added more stress.
Instead of relief, the relocation brought new worries. People staying around Perez said they noticed the strain building. Hilton himself addressed it publicly, admitting that the hospital bills and time off work had hurt his finances. To stay afloat, he shifted gears, leaning into faith-based products and posting that he was in full hustle mode.
However, Perez Hilton was honest about feeling the weight of money problems since the move. Miami was supposed to be a clean slate after everything he’d been through with his health. It was meant to bring him closer to his mom and relatives, and give his family more support.
He once told The Blast in an interview on July 9, 2026 (ET) that the experience made him rethink priorities, saying “tomorrow's not guaranteed.” What looked like a hopeful new chapter has, according to recent reports, turned into something much heavier.
Perez Hilton admitted that he made some wrong choices in his career

While trying to get his life back on track, Perez Hilton also started facing something he’d avoided for years, which was the backlash tied to his own work. He recalled that there were times when he looked back and admitted that he could have handled things differently. Perez also accepted that he went too far in the way he talked about famous people.
Over time, Hilton understood that any individual can be funny and outspoken without tearing people down on purpose. He claimed that there was a point where attention and clicks mattered more to him than how his words landed.
Looking back at 20 years since launching the blog that made him famous, Perez Hilton said that he regrets how he treated celebrities back then. He now believes he could have reached the same level without the harshness, and called taking responsibility part of who he’s trying to be now.
In a separate interview with The Blast in April 2024, he also reflected on where he stands today. He said that although he is no longer the biggest name in gossip, he expressed gratitude for the fact that he is still around. He called this phase of his life his “icon era,” pointing out that he’s lasted longer than a lot of the stars who were everywhere when he first started.
Perez Hilton also opened up about the moment when he realized his site had real reach. He said in the 2024 interview that when his website was once listed among the “most hated” sites in Hollywood on a TV segment, it was not receiving the same response anymore like it did in the beginning. Instead of making him quit, that moment pushed him to keep going, and it helped him to launch a successful career.
