The blogger kept mumbling "this is what you wanted" as he continued to harm himself. Amid that, a video of him has resurfaced on the internet where he can be seen apologizing for his past actions.
The video, which was allegedly only a few days old, featured Perez Hilton admitting to his wrongdoings. He accepted that he hurt many and was selfish. He said he carried significant guilt over his past behavior. He built one of the most-read gossip sites in internet history by relentlessly pursuing public figures with cruel and often invasive coverage. However, recent events in his life and how people reacted to him have changed his heart. He was quoted as saying:
"I knew what I was doing was wrong, and I didn't care. I was so selfish but that was a long time ago and I have changed and I throughout all of this and going back the last few days, I've gotten so much love and people praying for me and sending positive energy my way, I am not used to that I am used to the opposite, I am used to people hating on me, so just want to say thank you to everyone."
