Now, TMZ has finally released some information about what happened in the hours leading up to his suicide. According to an autopsy report, obtained by the publication, David wrote several suicide notes before shooting himself on April 20, 2026, in the backyard of his home in Boulder, Colorado.
In the suicide notes, David Wilcock revealed that he was "not in a great place" and insisted that first responders "Do Not Resuscitate" him under any circumstances. His death was not just shocking, but what made it even more chilling was the details he had left behind. For those who are not aware, police also found lists of beneficiaries tied to his estate in various places around his house.

Before taking his life, David Wilcock called 911 and told the dispatcher that he needed "to leave". While not many details of the call were shared, it was reported that David told them that he could be found to the "left of the house." He also told the dispatcher that he was facing financial difficulties and health issues. However, he didn't confirm whether he was armed or was going to injure himself.
After the 911 call, a police unit was sent to his location. However, when they arrived on scene, they were met with the harrowing sound of two gunshots. The sound echoed from David Wilcock's backyard. The cops took safety measures, unsure of what they would find, and flew a drone over his house, according to the autopsy report. The drone spotted the paranormal writer lying in a lawn chair with blood everywhere and a handgun on the ground nearby.
