Her role as ‘Saru’ in the Bollywood film, Sanam Teri Kasam, will forever remain etched in the memories of the audience. In Pakistani showbiz, Mawra has gained recognition with her role as the leading actress in dramas such as Sabaat, Nauroz, and Daasi.
The actress is quite active on Instagram and often shares updates regarding her personal and professional life on the social media platform. Recently, Mawra shared a piece of good news with her 8.2 million followers. She revealed that she is elated to welcome her niece into this world. Mawra captioned her post as:
“little sweety has arrived into our lives, bringing so so much joy, little MEHERBANO we love you a bit too much.”

Mawra’s post almost quickly caught everyone’s attention. People started speculating that the ‘niece’ was probably her sister, Urwa Hocane’s daughter. For the unversed, Urwa Hocane is the elder sister of Mawra Hocane, and she is married to the popular Pakistani actor-singer, Farhan Saeed. They said ‘Qubool Hai’ in 2016. And their fans thought that the baby must be Urwa and Farhan’s daughter.
Many people assumed that Urwa and Farhan had welcomed their first child because Mawra referred to herself as a ‘khala’ on social media. Fans were checking the couple’s Instagram profiles to see if this was true, causing confusion. Check out the comments:
It turns out that this is not the case. The ‘niece’ that Mawra posted about is not really Urwa and Farhan’s daughter, but her BFF, Sheharbano Shirazi’s daughter. It seems that after receiving many comments surrounding the rumour that Mawra has become the aunt of Urwa’s baby, she edited her post to add whose baby she really posted about.
For those of you who don’t know, Farhan and Urwa’s marriage had hit the rock bottom in 2020. But the duo later reconciled and are now having a blissful marital life.

As for Mawra Hocane, the popular Pakistani actress is yet to get married. She is currently focusing more on her career. In an interview with The Express Tribune, when she was asked about her relationship status, she mentioned that she wouldn’t be keeping it a secret. She said:
"It's impossible that I find someone and the world does not know...Whenever I find someone, you will know. The world will know. My Instagram is for everyone...God willing, when the time is right, and the process is there, the world will know."
Mawra further discussed the importance of understanding the clauses of a nikkahnama and emphasised their significance. Although she is single and has not found a partner to sign a nikkahnama with, Mawra still holds her family values at a high position, and she believes in a thorough reading of the contract. She believes in following her parents' example, who diligently read and discussed the nikkahnama with her sister, Urwa Hocane's husband before marriage.
