Aamir Khan's daughter, Ira Khan is all set to tie the knot with her beau, Nupur Shikhare, in a grand wedding in Udaipur on January 10, 2024. Earlier, the duo had a registered marriage in Mumbai, and they ditched many societal norms on their special day. Nupur raised many eyebrows with his hatke entry at his wedding venue and even got mercilessly trolled for wearing athleisure at his wedding.
On January 8, 2024, we stumbled upon Nupur and Ira's wedding video, which surfaced online. The video showed the then-groom decked up in shorts and a vest, running on the road with some of his friends. In the backdrop, we could hear him revealing the real reason why he jogged to his wedding venue. Nupur shared the emotional reason behind his special gesture and said that he used to jog to Ira's house via the same route to meet her every day.

Further, the video gave a sneak peek into the surreal decor at Ira and Nupur's wedding, and the stage setup stole the show. Later, the duo was seen signing their marriage certificate while being surrounded by their close friends and family members. After taking the oath of accepting each other as husband and wife, Ira and Nupur received a warm hug from Aamir Khan.

Nupur Shikhare was seen wearing a pair of shorts and a black vest on stage as he and Ira Khan signed their marriage certificate. The outfit raised many eyebrows and Nupur got slammed for the same. Finally, on January 4, 2024, Ira took to her Instagram stories and seemingly shut down the trolls by sharing a cute message. She shared an adorable photo of herself with Nupur from their wedding ceremony along with an attached photo of her groom jogging to the venue with his friends. She wrote:
“He didn’t come on a horse. He ran to the venue. And I placed cute posters along the way.”

Earlier, we stumbled upon several glimpses of the groom, Nupur's dhamakedaar baarat, wherein he was dressed in a black sleeveless t-shirt teamed with white shorts and a pair of sky-blue sneakers. The groom jogged from Santa Cruz to Bandra, marking a total distance of 8 km, to reach his wedding venue. Not just this, in some other glimpses, Nupur was seen playing dhol and making a grand entry at his wedding venue. Ira Khan's groom also danced outside the venue and left everyone's jaws dropped.
