Indian philanthropist, Nita Ambani and her mother-in-law, Kokilaben Ambani take immense pride in their culture and believe in spreading the lesson on the importance of sticking to your roots. Over the years, we have seen Nita Ambani flaunting expensive International brands. However, she never stopped wearing Indian designers. In fact, she often shows off her style in patola sarees.
From encouraging Indian classical dance forms like Bharatnatyam to flaunting her love for traditional Indian wear, Nita Ambani is the epitome of grace. She is a true Indian by her heart. Nita Ambani might show off her style in International wears yet she loves flaunting sarees, especially patola prints. A while ago, we spotted her donning a traditional Gujarati patola-printed saree.
Nita Ambani donned a beautiful blue and red-hued patola saree from the designer, Navdip Tundiya. It is priced at Rs. 1.70 lakhs. Nita Ambani accentuated her look with dewy makeup and open wavy hair. She accessorised her look with a simple dainty pearl necklace and bangles.
For those who don't know, patola is a double ikat saree usually made from silk in Patan, Gujarat. During the 11th century, these handwoven intricately designed sarees and suits became a sign of social status among affluent Gujarati women. It was also a must-have in the bridal trousseau. The patola designs are beautiful and give off a luxurious feel.
We have seen Nita Ambani flaunt patola sarees and dupattas. However, a while ago, she gave this traditional weave a modern touch. Yes, Nita Ambani was seen wearing a red-hue patola kurta from the designer, Jayanti Reddy. She picked the kurta set for Radhika Merchant's arangetram, and her fans were in awe of her effortless style.
We love Nita Ambani's style and her love for the patola weave!
