Television actor, Karan Mehra, who is still famous for his role as 'Naitik' in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, has been going through a hard time, after his wife, Nisha Rawal filed an FIR against him. While Karan has denied the allegation of hitting her, Nisha is adamant about letting the world know her side of the story. Recently, Nisha Rawal revealed the ordeals which she has been facing in her marital life.
For the uninitiated, Karan Mehra was arrested from his Mumbai house over a complaint made by his wife, Nisha Rawal. However, shortly after it, he was granted bail. The 38-year-old actor had a fight with his wife, Nisha and according to reports he had thrashed her, after which she had called the cops.

Recently, in an interview with the Bombay Times, Nisha shared her side of the story and revealed that she has been a victim of domestic violence for a long time. She said, "One of the charges filed by me against him is of domestic violence. I hadn’t spoken about it for so many years as I understand that for an actor his career and image are of utmost importance. In spite of being considerate and compassionate, I have had to face something like this."

Nisha further stated that Karan is having an extramarital affair and despite that she wants her marriage to work. The star wife stated, "This is definitely about Karan having an extramarital affair, me trying to work on the marriage, him not even taking responsibility for the child and constant abuse over the years, which I have never spoken about. I have evidence to authenticate my claim."

Nisha also revealed that she loves Karan and that is the reason why she had put up with his bad behaviour over the years. She shared, "Because I love him. I still do. It wasn’t easy for me to go ahead with the FIR. That’s why I put up with this behaviour. Every time he would apologise and promise to not repeat it, I would forgive him. But I finally decided to not be one of those women who worry more about the image. I had to speak the truth and stand up for myself and many more who have been through this hell like me."

Karan's wife, Nisha also shared in the same interview how she got to know about his extramarital affair. She was quoted as saying, "I learnt about him being involved with another woman around a couple of months ago. I saw his text messages to the girl, I saw them for myself. Even after that, I sat him down and told him to talk about it. I have not behaved like a woman who will rip a man into pieces. I asked him if he didn’t want to continue then no problem. I flew down to his parents in Noida."
Nisha also shared that Karan has sold her wedding jewellery and has taken charge of all her income. She said, "I don’t even know what my loan account numbers, my property papers are because you trust your partner. I invested in a relationship with complete faith. I finally told him that you are having an affair, you are not happy with me, you don’t want to live with me, but now we have a child. If I wasn’t a mother, I would have walked out. But that’s not the case. I would have still walked out if he had left anything for me from my earnings. He has sold my wedding jewellery as well. I don’t know where I felt short as a wife. I have supported him financially, given my all. Despite everything, he has been misbehaving and talking ill about my mother."
Well, Karan and Nisha's relationship has hit a rough patch and we hope they solve their family matter!
