With so many weddings of our favourite B-town happened last year (2018), it seems that celeb weddings are going to keep rocking in 2019 as well. While we already have the big fat wedding of Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta lined up for March 2019, another wedding in town is scheduled to happen soon. Wedding bells are ringing loudly for famous Bollywood playback singer, Neeti Mohan and Manikarnika actor, Nihaar Pandya. While Neeti has crooned her voice for many superhit songs such as Ishq Wala Love, Jiya Re, Saadi Galli Aaja, etc, Nihaar, on the other hand, has just entered the showbiz world. But their love story started a year ago, which they have successfully managed to keep under the wraps all this while. Even when the wedding rumours of the couple did the rounds some time back, both of them kept mum about it. And now, Nihaar is all open about it!
Nihaar and Neeti will soon be seen on Kapil Sharma’s show, The Kapil Sharma Show. The two are going to make it official there and as per reports, Nihaar will also propose her on stage on national television. Not just this, during the course of the show, Nihaar also revealed that he had already fallen for Neeti even before they met.
Sharing this cute love story, he said, “A friend of mine was a member of Aasma, the band that Neeti was a part of at the beginning of her career. I asked him several times to introduce us but that never happened. Coincidentally, I met her in Goa at the same friend’s wedding almost a year ago, and that’s when our love story started”. He also went on to share the details of his proposal to Neeti. Unveiling how he popped up the question, Nihaar shared, “We were taking a stroll around my farmhouse and upon reaching a pre-decided spot under a tree, I went down on one knee and asked her, ‘Tu shaadi karegi mujhse?’ and at that very moment, a phoolon ki baarish happened”. In an earlier report by Pinkvilla, a source had confirmed the wedding and shared, "Neeti and Nihaar would be tying the knot in February 2019 in Mumbai. Their family and friends from the industry will be a part of the celebration. While the sangeet, mehndi and the wedding are a close-knit affair, the reception invites will go to their friends from the industry." While another source added, "Nihaar is currently busy with the prep for the wedding and is also gearing up for the release of his debut film Manikarnika. The movie hits the screens on January 25, 2019. Post that, he will dive deep into the last-minute wedding prep."
For the ones who don’t know, Nihaar some time back hogged the limelight due to his relationship with actress Deepika Padukone, who is now happily married to Ranveer Singh. Nihaar recently spoke about being called as Deepika’s ex and was found stating, “I don’t get worked up over it. Yes, even the press note about my acting debut that was sent out referred to me as ‘ex-boyfriend’ but there is not much I can do about it right now. Deepika and I are cordial with each other and I hope people’s perception changes once they see my work in the film.”
In an interview back in 2016 with Indian Express, Nihaar shared that he is in contact with Deepika. He had then remarked, ''Yes, we are very much in touch. It's nowhere close to the way it has been portrayed so far with reports suggesting that both of us are waiting to run each other down or anything.'' Not just this, he also praised her for her performances on-screen and retorted, ''She got a chance and she is doing phenomenally well and improving with every film that she is doing which is great. On my front, it has taken long, rather long. But I have been told that a hopeless optimist is the right way to be.'' He had further added, ''It's all very much on a friendly note. But these days when you say friends people feel there is something more to it and we should check with the other person as well. Unfortunately, with these relationships that I have been tagged, there is a wrong notion among people that I am wanting to be with an actress. That is not how we had planned it. And I would like to undo that, this year. I would now like my actions to speak louder than words.''
