Katrina recently made a public appearance at the festivities hosted by the Ambani family, and pictures of her traditional look quickly circulated online. While many fans praised her appearance, Waris’s post has sparked criticism for allegedly mocking Katrina’s appearance in photos from the Ganpati celebration.
The post reportedly used a picture of the actress and made a remark comparing her to her husband Vicky Kaushal’s mother. He was heard saying:
"Mujhe bataiye ki kya ho gaya hai Katrina Kaif ko? Ye toh Amma lag rahi hain Vicky Kaushal ki. Ekdum se kya ho gaya inko? Toh waqai phir maa ban gayi hain. Main kya karun?"
The commentator, who also belongs to the medical profession, criticized Katrina's look, saying that he cannot tolerate seeing her like this. He expressed his alleged shock, saying, "Mujhe bardaasht nahi ho raha yeh roop dekhkar Katrina Kaif ka...main shock mein hoon."
Ejaz didn't stop there. After slamming the actress's changed appearance, he went on to address Katrina for putting on weight, saying, "Katrina beta, itni jaldi aapko kya ho gaya hai? Thoda apne aap ko rakho limit mein!"
Katrina, who welcomed her first child with Vicky Kaushal, has been receiving attention for her return to public appearances. Fans responding to the post argued that changes in a woman’s body should not invite ridicule or become material for personal attacks.
Katrina’s supporters took to social media to defend the actress, praising her appearance and pushing back against the commentary. One user wrote, “Katrina looks so beautiful... mind your own business." Another heated comment reads, "Have you ever given birth? Do you even REALISE the changes the body goes through when you have a child? Then and afterwards as well. But oh well, let's hear it from the man!! They've got TONS of things to say. Of course."
Another criticised Waris, saying, "Katrina looks as stunning as always. She doesn't need your validation about her body. Perhaps you should learn some science before commenting." On the other hand, a user urged that Ejaz be banned from the platform, saying, "Instagram, ban this guy from social media for GOD's sake. How dare he???"
The controversy widened after users noticed that Saina Nehwal had liked the post. Her interaction with the content became a separate talking point, with some users questioning why she appeared to engage with a remark that many considered offensive.

He has also worked extensively as an on-air media anchor and Radio Jockey (RJ) for various major channels, such as Suno FM. However, by profession, he is a doctor with a background in pathology.
The creator has built a social media presence through his entertainment commentary. His outspoken style has previously drawn reactions from artists and viewers. Pakistani celebrities like Ali Fazal strongly criticised Waris, though he didn't directly take any names. The actor, who shared the screen with Katrina and Imran Khan in the 2011 film Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, took to social media, saying in a video:
"What personal issues do we men have? Let's talk about it. Recently, I saw some posts...on social media about a colleague, co-star, with whom I had worked in Bollywood. A lot of discussions are happening that earlier she used to look like this and now she looks like this... I feel that as a male, we all need to look inside ourselves and make corrections... It's not right; it's not a good way to look at it. Every person is going through their own struggle. We don't know who is going through what in life."
