Bollywood actress, Neha Dhupia tied the knot with the actor, Angad Bedi in a private ceremony at a Gurudwara on May 10, 2018. However, Neha was already pregnant with her first child before their marriage. Soon after the wedding, Neha gave birth to their daughter, Mehr Dhupia Bedi in November 2018. Afterwards, the family of three became four with the arrival of their son, Guriq Singh Dhupia Bedi on October 3, 2021. Now, Neha opened up about getting pregnant before marriage and how her parents reacted to it.
In an interview with Times Now Digital, Neha Dhupia opened up about getting pregnant before marriage. She also revealed how her parents reacted to the news. The actress said that after revealing the same to her parents, the latter had given her only two days to get married to her now husband, Angad Bedi. Neha shared:
"We had a nonlinear wedding. We were pregnant before we got married. So, when we went and broke the news to my parents, they were like okay, this is great. But you have 72 hours before we turn this around. Let’s get married. I was given 2 and a half days to then go back to Bombay and get married."

However, Neha who has never shied away from flaunting her own skin and confidently reflecting on her life's decisions, revealed how she was mercilessly trolled by netizens for getting pregnant before marriage. But she paid no heed to them. According to her, since her choices didn't harm anyone, she would keep being confident about her actions. She added:
"My choices are not hurting anyone so then there’s no harm in doing what you want, what you please and look at where it got us."
In another interview with Bollywood Bubble, Neha Dhupia shared about her mom, Manpinder, aka Babli Dhupia’s fondness for her darling husband, Angad Bedi. Neha confessed that Babli was already delighted when she first told her mother about getting married to Angadi. The Chup Chup Ke actress also revealed how her mother constantly nagged her to be with Angad while she was in other relationships. The actress' mom added, “I knew Angad chaar saal pehle se.” Elaborating more on it, Neha stated:
“So please, can I just tell you that my mom is very fond of Angad. Or she would be like ‘He’s so nice, why are you dating other people’. It was always Angad, Angad. Mere ghar mein aur koi naam hi nahi hota tha to a point where it was almost like the universe kind of brought it together, manifested it. He manifested it, my friends were all like ‘this is it’.”

In the same conversation, Neha revealed what one of her boyfriends' had joked about Angad. Neha mentioned that while she broke up, her ex-boyfriend was sure she would marry Angad. However, laughing out loud at the joke, Neha revealed:
“I still remember when I was in different relationship, that time while calling that quits as a joke that guy also said that ‘I know you’re gonna get married to Angad’ (laughs) I mean, that’s of course a joke but the truth of it is like now when I look back at it, at that point when you’re living in it you don’t know but when I look back at it, it was meant to be.”
