Recently, veteran actress, Neetu Kapoor made an appearance on Indian Idol 12, wherein she revealed how her late husband, Rishi Kapoor had proposed to her. Last year, Neetu ji's entire world was shaken up when Rishi ji had left for the heavenly abode. It is said that nothing can ever erase the pain of losing someone, especially your better-half. And an exactly similar void is left in the hearts of the Kapoor family with the demise of legendary actor and their anchor, Rishi Kapoor.

It was on April 30, 2020, when legendary actor, Rishi Kapoor had left for heavenly abode without any final goodbyes. He had given a tough fight to cancer for the past two years. But on a regular morning amidst the lockdown in the entire nation (due to the COVID-19 outbreak), the actor had left us, sadly, his fans were not even able to attend his last rites. Every now, and then, his wife, Neetu Kapoor shares snippets of her beautiful journey with Rishi ji as an ode to the actor and the love she has witnessed with him.
The 64-year-old actress, Neetu Kapoor graced the stage of Indian Idol 12, wherein she revealed that her late husband, Rishi Kapoor had proposed to her via telegram. Yes, the veteran star shared that Rishi ji was in Paris while she was in Kashmir for a project and suddenly she had received a telegram from him, in which he had written that he misses her and loves her.
Neetu ji also revealed that she was earlier Rishi ji's wing-woman, and had always helped him in wooing girls before they had started dating. The actress also stated that Rishi ji used to find her cute and they had a special nickname for each other, Bob, with which they used to call each other lovingly.

On the morning of January 22, 2021, Neetu ji had taken to her Instagram handle and had shared a video for Rishi ji. In the video, we could see a compilation of their best moments together from the films they had done together. Along with it, she had written, "Justttt! Would have been 41 years today."
On June 28, 2020, Neetu ji had posted a throwback picture with the late actor. In the picture, we could see Rishi ji in a formal suit while Neetu ji had donned a pink-colour ensemble. Alongside it, she had written about the battles and love of her dear ones and it could be read as "Big or small We all have a battle to fight in our heads you may have a huge house with all the luxuries and still be unhappy whereas have nothing n be the happiest it’s all a state of mind !! All one needs is a strong mind n hope for a better tmrw !!! Live with gratitude, hope, work hard! Value your loved ones as thats your biggest wealth."
