Neetu had lost her husband, Rishi Kapoor 2020 due to cancer, but the iconic couple shares an immortal love for each other, which is beyond words. Late actor, Rishi Kapoor’s sudden demise has left a deep void in the Hindi film industry, especially in the Kapoor family. In previous interviews, Neetu Kapoor had revealed she was seeing a psychiatrist to deal with the loss of her husband, Rishi Kapoor.
However, over time, the actress has only come out stronger. But society never fails to shame a woman because of her life choices. It loves to dictate to women how to behave and point out flaws in everything they do. Though Neetu is far away from painting a ‘crying widow’ image, she often gets trolled for enjoying her life after the demise of her hubby, Rishi Kapoor.

On June 18, 2022, the makers of Colours TV took to their IG handle and uploaded a Reel video featuring Neetu Kapoor and choreographer, Marzi Pestonji. In the video, Neetu and Marzi can be seen grooving in Shammi Kapoor’s famous song, O Haseena Zulfon Wali. They both were seen shaking a leg on top of a car, where Neetu looked beautiful in a yellow-hued salwar suit, and Marzi looked dapper in a black ensemble. However, their sparkling chemistry and closeness raised many eyebrows.
As soon as the Reel video went viral on the internet, netizens started trolling the JugJugg Jeeyo actress for dancing with another man on a car’s roof being a widow. One user wrote, “Neetu you’re so pretty but why do something silly like this? Looks so cheap!”. Another netizen commented, “Feels weird seeing you dancing with other guys. What Rishi Ji will think now? Its fine to b active but you always appear dancing with other guys so weird.” While one troller penned, “Rishi sir k jane ka intezar kar rhi thi”, another wrote, “Kuch zyada he ho gya.”

In an old interview with Film Companion, Neetu Kapoor had talked about dealing with trolls and had revealed that people troll her for celebrating her life after the death of her hubby, late Rishi Kapoor. The actress had shared that she had blocked that section of people immediately and had added that everybody has a different way of healing. In her words:
"I block the ones who troll me because you know thode hote hai beech mein ke 'husband marr gaya, ye enjoy kar rahi hai.' They want to see that crying widow type, there is some section of people but I just block them. I say this is the way I want to be, this is the way I will be, this the way I will heal. Koi log ro ro ke heal karte hai, koi log khush ho ke heal karte hai."
