This February the wedding bells are ringing loud in the tinsel town! As another celeb wedding is just around the corner. We are talking about the popular singer, Neeti Mohan, who is all set to tie the knot with Nihar Pandya on February 14, 2019. In an exclusive interview with SpotboyE, Neeti revealed how cupid struck the two with its sharpest arrow. She said, “We both have strong values and quite similar ones. I think Jimmy knew that, and trust me, he was very sure that we would click. He introduced us at a wedding, where Nihar was accompanied by his parents. They met me very warmly and there was an instant connect with not just Nihar but also his family members”.
Neeti further added, “After that, Nihar met my parents. My Dad loved him almost instantly. He used to keep saying, "I have four daughters. Why is none of them getting married?” She also told the quality that attracted her towards Nihar, and said, “Well, I am beyond gauging a person based on his looks. In the same interview, talking about the wedding functions, Neeti shared, “All functions on February 14 and 15. Engagement nahin hui hai, but doni ki families have given a word to each other and blessed us.” Neeti revealed how she will be moving in with Nihar and his parents. She stated, “I am moving into his house and will stay with his family. And trust me again, I am really looking forward to that.” Well, the couple isn't planning an immediate honeymoon after the wedding. Talking about the same, Neeti said, “Not decided (about the honeymoon), but it will have to wait. I have a couple of assignments going on.”
Nihar has spilled the beans of their love story on The Kapil Sharma Show where he will be appearing with his girlfriend, Neeti as a guest, and said, “A friend of mine was a member of Aasma, the band that Neeti was a part of at the beginning of her career. I asked him several times to introduce us but that never happened. Coincidentally, I met her in Goa at the same friend’s wedding almost a year ago, and that’s when our love story started.”
Nihar also talked about how he popped the question to Neeti and her reaction to it. He was quoted as saying, “We were taking a stroll around my farmhouse and upon reaching a pre-decided spot under a tree, I went down on one knee and asked her, ‘Tu shaadi karegi mujhse?’ and at that very moment, a phoolon ki baarish happened”. For those who don’t know, Nihar hogged the limelight due to his relationship with Deepika Padukone. It’s been more than a decade since the two parted their ways, yet people still refer to them as ex-flames. A few days ago, Nihar talked about the constant media glare that refers to him as Deepika’s ex. He had said, “She (Deepika) is happily married and there is no bitterness in my heart. In time all that one remembers are the good things. I wish her all the best in her married life. And I am sure she wishes the same for me. I only wish the headlines announcing my wedding wouldn’t refer to me as ‘Deepika Padukone’s Ex’. I’d like to think I have an identity of my own.”
However, Nihar knows that he cannot do much about everyone’s thinking and said, “I don't get worked up over it. Yes, even the press note about my acting debut that was sent out referred to me as 'ex-boyfriend' but there is not much I can do about it right now.” Well, FYI Deepika and Nihar were said to be in a live-in relationship for about three years.
