Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan is making new records every day. Within 13 days of its release, Jawan has entered the Rs. 900 crore club. With a powerpack cast, Jawan has become SRK's highest-grosser in recent times. However, as per multiple reports, the lead actress of the film, Nayanthara is not happy with the film's director, Atlee Kumar.
As per a report in Hindustan Times, the lady superstar of the South Indian films, Nayanthara is quite upset with the way her role was sidelined in the film. As per a source:
“She has been very upset with Atlee because her role was chopped in the film. Also, Deepika’s (Padukone) character was elevated, and Nayantara’s part was significantly sidelined.”

Deepika Padukone had an extended cameo in the film, Jawan, for which she did not charge even a penny. As per the source, the film looked like an SRK-Deepika film. Revealing how Nayanthara is no longer interested in signing Bollywood projects anytime soon, the source added:
“It was not a cameo at all. Jawan was almost made to look like an SRK-Deepika film. Nayanthara is the leading actor down south, and hence, she was not happy with the treatment of Jawan. And that can never well be the reason why we might not see her in a Bollywood project, at least not anytime soon.”
Nayanthara was not seen in any promotional events of Jawan and the actress also skipped the recently held success meet. However, as per the source, Nayanthara does not involve herself in promotions, as the actress follows a no-promotion policy for her films. Because of some bad experiences in the past when she was misquoted, the actress has refrained herself from any promotional activity.

Do you know that Nayanthara was not the first choice to play the lead role in Jawan? Yes, before approaching Nayanthara to play the lead opposite Shah Rukh Khan, the makers of the film approached the Tamil superstar, Samantha for the same, but she declined the offer. As per reports, Samantha turned down the opportunity to work with Bollywood superstar, Shah Rukh Khan Jawan due to her desire to start a family with her then-husband, Naga Chaitanya.
On the professional front, Nayanthara will be next seen in the film, Iraivan.
