Love is a beautiful feeling. One feels a certain connect and can feel if the relationship is for keeps or not. And then the next big step is to take those saat pheras! On July 4, 2019, Nawab and Pooja walked down the aisle in a close-knit affair as per the Arya Samaj wedding rituals. No one had any hint about their wedding until Nawab had shared a Boomerang video on his Instagram handle wherein she was seen flaunting her red chooda.
The wedding had taken place in Delhi and it was the newbie bride, Pooja who confirmed the wedding and related details in an interview lately. She had also shared that she was simply going with the flow but then realised that he was the man she wanted to spend the rest of her life with. Ever since the two had tied the knot, many of their interviews are floating all over the internet revealing about their love story, their wedding and much more. In an interaction with MensXP recently, Nawab opened up about how he proposed Pooja and during the course of the discussion he also expressed his desire to have babies with Pooja. Nawab remarked, “I proposed to her in front of my family. It wasn’t planned at all and it just happened. It was overwhelming for the two of us. When you know he or she is the right person, you are excited and motivated to live life. I keep telling her that we have less time as we have to grow together and also have babies. We need to travel, we both love reading and writing, and as we say, ‘Zindagi chotti hai’ so why not do things that we like.”
Further claiming that he wanted to tie the knot with Pooja right after their first meeting at the airport, Nawab shared, “It happened quite magically in our case because she was sitting in Los Angeles like ‘Saat Samundar Paar’. We knew each other 20 years ago and then we reconnected and somewhere, we felt that it’s the best thing that has happened. I met her obviously and we reconnected when she was coming back from LA. Earlier, in a chat with The Times of India, Nawab had talked about his muse Pooja and the fact that destinies played their role in reuniting them only to get married. The Bhaag Milkha Bhaag actor had retorted, "One has to be ready to experience something like this, and I guess, Pooja and I were in that space. It was as if we were destined to be together. We didn’t want to think about it too much and delay it (marriage) any further. Both of us have gone through various phases in life and have matured over the years. When I reconnected with her, a relationship wasn’t on my mind. However, at this stage in life, you feel the void of not having a companion. Pooja entered my life like sunshine, and I was sure that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. In fact, I wanted to marry her right after our first meeting."
Revealing about how love blossomed between the two, Nawab had gone to add that romance just happens and it is an organic process. He was quoted as saying, "Pooja is a lovely soul and a great person, and that’s important to me. Romance happens on its own and is an organic process. We are on the same wavelength and are alike. We had no doubts about the relationship or each other, which is rare in today’s day and age. We connected so beautifully, that everything came together for us."
