Jaya Bachchan turned a year older on April 9, 2023, and to make her birthday special, her granddaughter, Navya Naveli Nanda, shared a throwback picture of her nani. For the unversed, Jaya is one of the most amazing actresses of her time. She has worked in many blockbuster films, including Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Sholay, Silsila, Guddi, Abhimaan and many more. Jaya Bachchan is married to the legendary actor, Amitabh Bachchan and they are blessed with two adorable kids, Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan. Moreover, the duo are loving grandparents to Navya Naveli Nanda, Agastya Nanda and Aaradhya Bachchan.
On April 9, 2023, Navya Naveli Nanda took to her Instagram handle and wished her nani, Jaya Bachchan on her 75th birthday. She dropped a throwback monochromatic picture of her grandmother, which is a still from her 1972 film, Shor. In the priceless photo, the veteran actress can be seen donning a striped saree which she paired with classy sunglasses, a bindi and a beret hat. Along with the photo, Navya even penned a heartfelt birthday note for her nani, which can be read as:
"Happy birthday nani. The real powerhouse. The glue that binds us all. I love you!"

On November 30, 2022, Navya had taken to her IG handle and dropped a series of glimpses from her Bhopal trip with her nani, Jaya. In the pictures, the star daughter could be seen enjoying the delicacies of Bhopal and the crowded markets. However, the picture which caught our attention the most was the one where Navya gets a haircut from her grandmother, Jaya. In the photo, she could be seen sitting on a chair while her nani gave her a nice haircut.
Earlier, in one of the episodes of her podcast, What The Hell Navya, the show's host, Navya had talked about her grandmother, Jaya Bachchan. Talking about her, she revealed that her nani is the first or second person to whom she updates about her life. She even mentioned that everyone in the Bachchan family takes Jaya Bachchan's opinion very seriously.

In one of the episodes of Navya's podcast, What The Hell Navya, Jaya Bachchan had said that she wouldn't have a problem if Navya got pregnant out of wedlock. Addressing her grandmother's comment, in an interview with NDTV, Navya stated that the aim of her podcast is to create a space for women to talk openly about anything without being judged.
