Navya Nanda reveals conversations with her naani, Jaya Bachchan based foundations for her podcast

In a recent conversation with Aditya Bhatt, Navya Naveli Nanda retrospected on the massive love and responses her podcast, What The Hell Navya has received over the time, now especially with its second season that is live. The young entrepreneur stated how the idea for the same arose in her mind during the phase of lockdown, when she used to have vivid discussions with her grandmother, Jaya Bachchan. It was through these conversations over the period of time that Navya realised several important topics which were left unsaid, and people must know about them. Expressing more, she said:

“During the lockdown, I lived with my entire family. So my naani and my mom and I used to sit a lot during the lockdown cause that’s all we could really do and have conversations and conversations we hadn’t had before. You know sometimes you can live with people your whole life and not have certain conversations. We felt that there was so much to talk about that we hadn’t. And as we were having those conversations we felt that the topics and themes we were touching on were very relevant to what’s happening in today’s social context.”

Navya revealed that be it her grandmother or mother, every one in the house has a delicacy of their own. Moreover, the starlet stated that the entire family loves to gorge is aloo chilka. In her words:

“Every house has a specialty and I know something that people love eating at our house – aloo chilka. It’s actually quite cute because we have named certain recipes after people like we have ‘Nani Ma’s khichadi,’ which she makes in a Bengali way. We have ‘Mama Toast’. It’s a sandwich that Nani has invented. You have ‘Navya’s aloo’ because it’s the recipe that I have created. We also have ‘Shweta’s pasta.’ Nana always says, ‘I will eat Shweta’s pasta.'”

Navya Nanda spoke on starting her own business at the age of 21

Previously, while speaking with Mashable India, Navya Nanda talked about setting her own business at the age of 21. She candidly confessed being bestowed with a lot of privilege in her life, and credited her parents for trusting her with support and funds, whenever required. In her words:

“Because I come from a very privileged background, I had the opportunity to do it. My family supported me financially, I had access to a lot of opportunities which people don’t get. So for me to be able to do what I am doing at the age I am doing it is an advantage of where I come from. I had utmost gratitude and respect for that. Because I don’t think I would have been able to reach here so soon. I would have still been able to, because I am an ambitious person, but not as fast. Creating an identity has always been very important for me.”
