It is listed on the NYSE (New York Stock Exchange) and BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange). While most people are aware of the fact that Infosys is an IT company, there are still many people, who don't know exactly what the company does.

The multinational IT company, Infosys has its headquarters in Bangalore, Karnataka. According to a report on Brand Finance 2024, Narayana Murthy's Infosys is the third most valuable IT services brand in the world, after Accenture and Tata Consultancy Services Limited. Narayana Murthy and his team are an inspiration for every young entrepreneur in the world because there was a time when this mammoth IT firm could not purchase a single computer. Infosys got its first computer almost two years after it was founded in 1981.

Narayana Murthy got married to Sudha Murty on February 10, 1978, and welcomed two children, Akshata Murty in 1980 and Rohan Murty in 1983. Akshata is married to the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak. The couple has two daughters, Anoushka and Krishna.

Talking about Narayana and Sudha's son, Rohan, he is married to Aparna Krishnan, who is an engagement manager. The couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy, on November 10, 2023, and named him Ekagrah.

Rohan Narayana Murty, better known as Rohan Murty is the son of Infosys's Founder, Narayana Murthy and critically acclaimed author, Sudha Murty. Rohan completed his schooling from the famous Bishop Cotton Boys' School in Bangalore. Once his schooling was over, he went to the US to pursue an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from the prestigious Cornell University. Rohan also did a PhD in Computer Engineering from Harvard University, which was completed in 2011.

Why did Narayana Murthy and Sudha Murty's son Rohan Murty not lead his father's Infosys, worth Rs. 690000 crores?

With all these degrees under his belt, Rohan Murty joined his father, Narayana Murthy, at Infosys in June 2013 as an executive assistant at the Chairman's Office. However, in June 2014, Narayana Murty left Infosys, and Rohan also went on a completely different path, showing no interest in leading Infosys to further heights. Although reports were rife back then that Rohan was elected as the Vice President of Infosys, but he left it all to focus on his dream project, Soroco.

In 2014, Rohan Murty co-founded Soroco, alongwith George Nychis and Arjun Narayan. Rohan and his team's vision is to change how businesses handle digital transformation by specialising in technology with the help of multiple artificial intelligence resources. Rohan is currently working as the CTO (Chief Technology Officer) at Soroco. Although Soroco never revealed its revenues, as per NelsonHall Vendor Evaluation & Assessment Tool, the startup's projected top-line revenue was around Rs. 150 crores in 2022.

Rohan Murty is one of the few children of billionaires in the world, who decided to make their own empire and build everything from scratch. It's incredible how Rohan turned down the opportunity to be the Vice President of an Rs. 600,000 crore firm, Infosys to start his own startup. However, as per Business Today, Rohan received a sum of Rs. 106.42 crore in dividend income from his 6,08,12,892 shares in Infosys.

Narayana Murthy and Sudha Murthy's son, Rohan Murty is currently married to Aparna Krishnan, and they have a son together. However, not everyone is aware that it is Rohan's second marriage. He was previously married to the Chairman emeritus of TVS Motor, Venu Srinivasan's daughter, Lakshmi Venu. Rohan and Lakshmi got engaged in 2010 and tied the married knot back in 2011. Unfortunately, due to some irreconcilable issues, Rohan and Lakshmi ended their marriage in October 2015.
