After dating for 9 years, Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara fame, Nakul Mehta decided on forever to his 'first love', Jankee Parekh in January 2012. Nakuul, who is the quintessential hero of small screens, was in Boston with wife Jankee, to attend a family wedding. With their colour-coordinated outfits, this husband-wife duo stunned their fans with the royal looks. While Jankee stunned in an off-shoulder blouse with tassels on it, which she paired with a white lehenga with intricately detailed work on it and a dupatta. Accentuating her royal look was the minimal make-up and a bun hairdo. On the other hand, Nakuul looked debonair in a white embellished kurta paired with pyjamas. Nakuul and Jankee made for a gorgeous sight together!

Sharing one of the most joyous moments of his life, Nakuul said in an interview, “I had many joyful moments in my life but one which is very close to me is when I proposed my girlfriend Jankee, who is now my wife. Marrying her was my best decision ever. She brings a balance to my life." He also confessed that she was the only woman in his life. Nakuul stated, "Jankee is the first girl I dated."
During the initial years of his career, Nakuul never admitted his marriage to Jankee. Sharing if it was a conscious move, Nakuul informed, "I didn't want the focus to be shifted from my career by announcing my marriage. People never ask me whether I am married, as I look very young. They used to ask me if I was in a relationship and I would say 'Yes'. People just assumed that I was single. It didn't occur to anybody that I was married." Revealing deets about how he proposed his teenage sweetheart, Nakuul was quoted as saying, "It was a pretty big deal to put those words down on paper and I recall meeting her outside her porch to hand it over with the biggest smile in the world. I cannot forget that feeling of having accomplished the biggest task of my life. I must have spent a few days thinking about the words which would feel correct and yet be poetic and do the magic. That was the toughest challenge I've faced as a teenager. She responded, and I was happy that I had found my soulmate."
Nakuul and Jankee encourage each other to do well their professional moves, and their career is always a priority for them. Nakuul remarked, "We know each other from the time we started our careers where we encouraged each other. She encouraged me to act and take up television and I encouraged her to do live shows, have her digital presence and make her own YouTube content."
He further went on to say, “So we kinda handheld and encouraged each other and to see her fly and sort of headline a band with 10 musicians on it, is a very proud feeling. To see her on stage with thousands of people enjoying her music is wonderful. The kind of power she exudes when she is on the stage is fantastic. I think as an actor I will never be that powerful because you know to just hold the stage for three hours with so many people is a god gifted talent which a musician has and as actors you can only do that much, you can execute the content which people give but she has the power to create content and literally sort of dominate how the other person feels when she is on stage. So, it is wonderful to watch her on stage, see her journey as an individual.”
In an interview, Nakuul adorably stated, "Usually women take 1-2 hours to get ready, but Jankee's uniqueness is that she takes 3-4 hours to doll up", to which his wifey, Jankee was quick to add, "Nakuul's uniqueness lies in the fact that he takes nothing less than 4 ½ hours to get ready."
