Nakshatra Murthy Blasts Anugraha S Nambiar For Claiming She Married Vijay Kumar For Fame, 'Nonsense'

Malayalam actor, Anugraha S Nambiar, Tamil actor-filmmaker, Vijay Kumar Rajendra, his wife, Nakshatra Murthy, and the JioHotstar web series, Resort have been hogging the spotlight for a while now due to the ongoing controversy. Amid this, in her latest statement, Nakshatra blasted Anugraha for claiming that she had married her husband just for ‘fame and limelight'. Additionally, Global Villagers, the production house behind the series, has broken its silence. 

Nakshatra Murthy blasts Anugraha S Nambiar 

For those unaware, Nakshatra had initially posted a video on Instagram to address Anuragha's claims. However, she has since deleted it. Following this, she headed straight to the actor's comment section and wrote: 

“Anyone can talk anything on social media nowadays. Think twice before you talk about someone. The same Vijay Kumar was the one who also gave you this opportunity to act in a role while you didn't get selected for the lead character. Yes, you don't ask your boyfriend to call is and lash at us at 11:30 in the night. Please try to value and respect people.” 

Nakshatra shared a screenshot of the same comment and posted it on her Instagram Stories. She explained that while many people thought she deleted the post because she lacked the guts, the real reason was that she had to talk and post a reel. Nakshatra claimed that Anugraha has now become the joke because she deleted the entire video in which she bashed her husband, Vijay. According to her, the comment she left on Anugraha's video was the most decent way that could react to her ‘nonsense’ show. To mention, she even called out the actor for pinning her Reels on the matter. 

Later, Nakshtra made a separate post on her Instagram on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, and blasted Anugraha for talking about her marriage. Claiming that this was her final notice, she said that dragging her marriage into a public forum and making baseless, defamatory claims about her and her husband is a line that Anugraha should never have crossed. She said that a “private disagreement regarding your male friend's inappropriate late-night behaviour does not give you the right to manufacture lies for public consumption.” 

Nakshatra added that she has already documented Anugraha's statements, and because the actor dealt with this matter through public defamation, she will now take action in court as well. She wrote:

“To claim I married for 'fame and limelight' is a desperate attempt to distract from the fact that your MALE friends was the one shouting at my husband in the middle of the night. I will always stand up for my family, but I won't stoop to your level by arguing in public. We'll be moving forward with a defamation suit. This is to - Anugraha Nambiar.”

Resort makers break the silence by issuing an official statement 

All the back-and-forth between Nakshatra and Anugraha led Global Villagers, the production house behind Resort, to issue an official statement and a legal notice. They stated that they have noticed “certain individuals” circulating false, misleading, and defamatory allegations concerning their company. While denying the claims, they added that they have over two decades of industry experience and have built their reputation on professionalism. They claimed that any attempt to tarnish their reputation and spread misinformation will not be tolerated. The statement further read: 

"We have instructed our legal counsel to initiate appropriate legal proceedings against any individuals or entities responsible for creating, publishing, or amplifying such defamatory content. We hereby call upon all individuals, media personnel, and social media platforms to immediately cease and desist from disseminating unverified or defamatory material. Failure to comply will result in strict legal action being pursued without further notice. We strongly urge the media and the public to rely only on verified and credible sources of information.”
