Vedika Pinto opened up about having zero matches on a dating app
Earlier, this year, in 2026, Vedika Pinto sat for a candid conversation on the show, The Super Womaniya Show. During the conversation, the Musafir Cafe actress was asked whether she did online dating. In response, Vedika shared that she didn’t. Then Vedika recalled a brief two-month phase during which she didn’t get a single match. The only two to three matches she got were from her friends who were on that dating app. In her words:
"I have not. I have never. I did; I had a two-month phase. It’s not for me. I didn’t get to the chatting. I had an app for about two weeks, and I had zero matches. The only two or three matches I had were my own friends who were in the app. This is not for me. I am an old school romantic. I like to converse."
Is Vedika Pinto dating anyone now?
Vedika Pinto is currently single. Years back, she was linked with Saiyaara fame Ahaan Panday when a video of Vedika dancing with him at Alanna Panday’s wedding went viral on the internet. In fact, she was also linked to Bollywood actor Aditya Roy Kapur when Vedika and he were working on the film, Gumraah. Setting the record straight, Vedika shared they were just close friends. In fact, she also shut down the dating rumours surrounding her and her Nishaanchi co-star, Aaishvary Thackeray. In her words:
"Jisse mujhe link kiya gaya woh mere orbit mein hai, toh matlab itna kharab nahi lagta. Jaise Ahaan ki behen, Alanna meri bohot khas dost hai aur Ahaan ko main bachpan se janti hoon. Toh bilkul bura nahi laga. Aaishvary toh main usko 'Bablu meri jaan' bulati hoon. Toh woh he is like my best friend. Toh mereko ekdam bura nahi laga. Past mein Aditya ke saath link kiya tha, jab humne Gumraah shoot ki thi, tab bhi bura nahi laga. Humari dosti ban gayi thi."
Meet Musafir Cafe actress Vedika Pinto
Vedika Pinto was born on October 14, 1995, into a Christian family in Mumbai. Her father, Johnny Pinto, worked as a business associate in the Hindi film industry and her mother, Monia Saigal Pinto, is a banker. She completed her schooling at Ecole Mondiale World School in Mumbai. Later, she completed her graduation from the University of London.
Besides being a phenomenal actress, Vedika is also a dancer. During her schooling years, she was actively involved in national and international dance competitions. Her breakthrough came in 2019, when she starred as the bride in Ritviz's music video Liggi. Following the immense success of Liggi, Vedika made her Bollywood debut with Operation Romeo in 2022.
Vedika also featured in films including Gumraah and Nishaanchi. She was recently seen in the Netflix series, Musafir Cafe. In a recent interview with IANS, Vedika shared her working experience with lead actor Vikrant Massey. In her words:
"Working with Vikrant was honestly a joy. He's an incredibly generous actor. He really listens, and when you're acting opposite someone who's that present, it naturally makes your own performance more honest. We also had a really healthy working relationship from day one. We did intimacy workshops before filming, which created a space built on trust, respect and comfort. I think that's so important because once you feel safe, you stop worrying about how you look and start focusing on the truth of the scene."
