We are talking about Musafir Cafe, featuring Vikrant Massey, Vedika Pinto, and Mahima Makwana in the leading roles. Season 1 has left the audience in awe, and the excitement for the next season is high.
The series tells the story of the most meaningful love stories; however, it shows that probably the meaningful love stories aren't always the ones that don't have any flaws; rather, they have the power to change us. Set in two timelines, Musafir Cafe bring the modern face of relationships, the kind that were there back in the 2010s.

It shows how circumstances can pull two people apart even when the love was genuine. It also leaves the viewers with questions about whether there is anything like 'moving on', or even if there is any, whether it means that the next person will be forgotten, or both of them will have to set their minds on acceptance and find peace with what is left. There's a novel of the same name as well, which is written by Divya Prakash Dubey. With the release of the series, people questioned whether the series was based on the novel.
To mention, as per Netflix, the characters are based on Divya's novel, which was a bestseller, released back in 2016. For the unversed, Divya is one of the top-selling Hindi fiction writers. His bestseller, Musafir Cafe, was more than just a novel and brought a cafe revolution across the country. In one of his live shows, Dubey once revealed how his neighbour, Kitty Bhaiya, helped him get into the writing business.
Kitty Bhaiya found his diary and took Dubey to one of the shops that needed ad copy. Kitty was the one to pay Dubey to show him that writing can help to earn as well. And that's how Dubey began his journey, and in today's time, he's known as Chetan Bhagat of Hindi fiction. In his short story, Sharten Laagoo, Dubey dedicated the hero tag to his Kitty bhaiya, stating that everyone needs someone like that in their lives.
About the Netflix series, Musafir Cafe
Written by Sharanya Rajgopal, Musafir Cafe is a character-driven story that is based on Divya Prakash Dubey's novel. Just like the novel, it unfolds in two distinct timelines and focuses on three main characters, Chander, Preeti and Sudha. Chander and Sudha had a past, and there was genuine love between them. However, they had to part ways, given certain circumstances. While Sudha didn't believe in the institution of marriage, Chander was okay with everything until his mother insisted otherwise.
While Sudha wanted to build her career on her own terms, Chander, leaving his engineering job, wished to run a cafe in the mountains. Chander fulfilled his dreams, and in the mountains, he met Preeti, a travel writer. While Chander and Preeti formed a bond made with mutual respect and boundaries, the ghosts from the past continued to haunt the former. Preeti, on the other hand, knows about Chander's past and continues to occupy a place in his heart.
