Former Indian cricketer, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his wife, Sakshi Dhoni are one of the most loved couples in the Indian sports industry. Besides being an eminent Indian cricketer, MS Dhoni is also a loving husband to his wife, Sakshi and a doting daddy to their daughter, Ziva. Moreover, the cricketer and his wife has also ventured into the film business and their production house, Dhoni Entertainment, announced its next upcoming film, Let's Get Married in January 2023. The Tamil and Telugu-language film is directed by Ramesh Thamilmani, and stars Nadiya, Yogi Babu, and Mirchi Vijay in lead roles. Now, during a candid conversation, Sakshi revealed that her hubby is open to joining acting.
During a press conference for the film, Let's Get Married, in Chennai, Sakshi Dhoni graced the event alongside Shakthi, RJ Vijay, Nadhiya, Ramesh Thamilmani, Ivana, and Harish Kalyan. The eminent A-listers were seen talking about the film, while Sakshi was asked about her husband, MS Dhoni's interest in acting. To this, the doting wife immediately added that her husband is open to making his acting debut. Explaining more about it, she also revealed that the cricketer is not camera shy as he has worked with advertisements since 2006. She said:
“If there’s something good, he may just (do it). He is not camera-shy. He has been acting in advertisements since 2006, and he is not afraid of facing the camera. So, might do it if there’s something good.”

Further, Sakshi shared the kind of genre MS Dhoni would prefer for acting. She mentioned all his life, MS Dhoni has been playing cricket, thus, he would be best suited for action films. In Sakshi's words:
“Action. He is always in action. What would you choose for him? If we plan to make a movie with MS Dhoni as a hero, then it will only be an action-packed entertainer. If a character with a good story and good message comes, then MS Dhoni will consider acting in a movie.”

For the unversed, MS Dhoni is emotionally connected with Tamil Nadu as he is fondly known as Thala (leader) over there. The legendary cricketer got his name due to his association with the IPL team, Chennai Super Kings. And undoubtedly, MS Dhoni has brought immense success to the IPL team. In the same conversation, talking about MS Dhoni's heroic posture and wishes, director, Ramesh Thamilmani said:
"He is a real-life superhero, and I would like to see him in a superhero film. Sakshi was particular about having a heroine who can speak Tamil and not some actor from the North. She wanted things to be authentic. Also, both Dhoni and she were very supportive. Dhoni told me that ‘More than anything else, we should like what we have done. Everything else comes later. In that way, I am proud of what you guys have made with LGM.’ Dhoni has so far watched the film thrice."
