A week back, Samantha took to her Instagram handle to share some glimpses from her babymoon. For the unversed, Samantha and her husband, Raj Nidimoru, are expecting their first baby together. The couple is enjoying this beautiful phase privately and had a private godhbharai ceremony in July 2026. Amid this, Samantha gave a fun-filled reply to a fan who asked her about her unborn child’s name.

Recently, Samantha took a temporary break from acting as she prepares to embrace motherhood. A while back, Samantha took to her Instagram Stories and did an AMA session. Many fans asked her questions about her pregnancy journey, while several others shared their experiences with motherhood. 'New mamas, how we doing?' was the question in her AMA session. A fan asked whether she gained weight during this phase, and in response, Samantha wrote, "I feel ya. 11 kgs up already."

Another fan who is a mom-to-be wrote, "Doing Amazing! Motherhood is setting the bar higher for myself." In response, Samantha wrote, "Love that for you. Didn't expect to feel this empowered by the whole thing. Thought I'd be mostly overwhelmed." A mom shared, "Figuring it out still even as a second-time mum, only job that comes without a manual." Samantha replied, "Beautiful. Magical. Life-changing. A manual would've been nice though."
A mom-to-be shared, "The nerve-wracking moment while waiting for scan results! Slaying my bump era!" Samantha replied, "Thank god it's not just me." A third fan asked, "Are you enjoying this phase?" In response, Samantha wrote, "With all my heart." However, a fan’s question in the same AMA session caught our attention. The fan asked, "What name do you want to give your future baby. Please reply. Wt." However, it was Samantha’s fun-loving reply that stole the spotlight. She wrote:
"This is turning out to be harder than expected. Think I'm going to need your help."

Samantha Ruth Prabhu expresses her feelings about embracing motherhood
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, the Maa Inti Bangaaram actress expressed her feelings about embracing motherhood. Samantha shared that she always wanted to be a mother. She admitted that the pregnancy journey is new and exciting. She mentioned that in this phase, she can feel like carrying a different, new kind of strength and purpose within her. She was quoted as saying:
"It's definitely new and exciting. But I've been waiting for this moment for a while now. I've always wanted to be a mother. So I know that I'll be giving this my all. I've always been passionate about everything in life. But now I feel I carry a different, new kind of strength and purpose in me. I'm looking forward to this journey a lot. And I'm filled with gratitude, learning every day, and getting ready to embrace whatever comes next."
Earlier, in a 2018 interview with Film Companion, Samantha discussed balancing motherhood and acting. She explained that when she has a child, her focus would shift significantly. Samantha shared that although she had great respect for working mothers, she would have her own approach, which includes stepping away from acting for the early years of parenting. Currently, Samantha is spending a lot of time with herself and her family.
Samantha and Raj got married according to the sacred Bhuta Shuddhi Vivaha ceremony on December 1, 2025. They have collaborated on projects including The Family Man Season 2, Citadel Honey Bunny and Maa Inti Bangaaram.
