The most shocking part of the reel was the song's lyrics. It reportedly included the line, "Murder maar de sadak ke upar", which translates to "Murder someone right on the road". After Ankit's unexpected death, many fans revisited his Instagram profile and described it as heartbreaking in hindsight.
Thousands of fans commented on the post to express their disbelief and grief. One fan commented, “Sadak ke upaar hi murder kar gaya koi.” Another internet user wrote, "Miss you, Ankit bhai." According to local media outlets in Shamli, the attack took place in the evening in Uttar Pradesh's Shamli Kotwali area. Ankit was reportedly leaving a local gym at around 7 p.m. when a group of armed assailants suddenly attacked him. Some witnesses present nearby claimed that there were three to four attackers who opened fire and shot multiple rounds. In turn, Ankit sustained serious injury before being taken to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival. Meanwhile, residents and their families have begun protests calling for strict action against those guilty.
