Such was the wedding of the princess of Rewa, Mohena Kumari Singh and her politician prince charming, Suyesh Rawat. Even though it has been more than a year since Mohena Kumari Singh had taken saat pheras with her then-fiancé, Suyesh Rawat, it seems like just yesterday when the first glimpse of the royal bride had popped up on our social media feeds. Dressed in a traditional Rajputana poshak with pallu drawn over her head, small bindi, matha patti and borla (maang teeka), traditional jadau nath and all-red chooda, Mohena had taken our breaths away with her bridal look. #SuMoKiShaadi was all over social media in 2019 and Suyesh had beautifully complemented his bride, Mohena in an off-white bandhgala and beige-coloured safa.
Mohena Kumari Singh and Suyesh Rawat’s royal wedding in Haridwar was attended by nearly 1.5 lakh guests and glimpses of which is now given by their official photographers, Stories by Joseph Radhik. They posted some unseen pictures of Mohena and Suyesh’s wedding and captioned the pictures as “Suyesh Ki Shadi. Mohena Suyesh. Haridwar, 2019. Looking back at this (literally) historic wedding, the likes of which we may not see for a long while. Guests from all the over world, a true sense of euphoria in the air, insane levels of coordination and planning, a couple in love in the middle of it all, and two families who trusted us with the job of doing justice to this spectacle. In 2012 when we photographed Shradhey's wedding with nearly 1.5L guests, little did we know we'd be back 7 years later for an even bigger event for his younger brother. BTW, yes, that's a wedding. Yes, those are a lot of people, something we can't even imagine in this day today. But in the midst of it, we got to document the love between two beautiful people and the love for them from thousands of happy people.”
Time did pass by in the blink of an eye and when on April 14, 2020, Mohena Kumari Singh and Suyesh Rawat had completed six months of their marital bliss, the former had shared their wedding teaser. Mohena had captioned the video as “SUMO WEDDING TEASER | IT’s BEEN SIX MONTHS Six months ago was literally the biggest day of my life...a day full of nervousness, laughter, hugs & tears a lot of things changed, a lot of new things began. My family did so much for me and my happiness and gave me so much love. I will never be able to thank them enough. On October 14, 2020, Mohena Kumari Singh and Suyesh Rawat had completed one year of marital bliss and to mark the same, the lovebirds had posted special messages for each other on their respective social media profiles. Suyesh had posted a selfie with Mohena from a garden with flowers in the background and had captioned it as “joyeux anniversaire mon Cheri spending time with you is like an experience that I cherish.” Two days after their anniversary, Mohena had put up a late post for Suyesh, wherein the couple could be seen lost in each other’s eyes.
