Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor were blessed with a baby girl in August 2016 whom they lovingly named, Misha Kapoor. Two years later, on September 05, 2018, Shahid and Mira completed their family with the arrival of their second child- a baby boy whom they named, Zain Kapoor.

Mira had once revealed in an interview that Misha was super-excited about being an elder sister. She had said “Being able to bring a life into this world, feel it grow inside, and being able to connect with the baby before it has actually even arrived is surreal. And this time it's been so interesting to see how Misha has been through the entire process. She knows there is a baby inside and she says, 'Hi Baby!' every day to my tummy”.
Shahid Kapoor had told the media once that it was during wife Mira’s first pregnancy that he got closer to her. The considerate husband and father Shahid Kapoor had once said at an event, "When she was in labour, I held my breath. At one point, I got dizzy and she whacked me and said, 'Why are you getting dizzy? I'm doing all the work here”.
