Mira Rajput is quite vocal about her opinions, be it about her life, sartorial choices or even the person that she is. Married to the dashing superstar, Shahid Kapoor, Mira never lets the fame hit on her head, and leads a perfectly balanced life on her own rules.
During a candid conversation with eminent YouTuber, Janice Sequeira, Mira Kapoor revealed her disagreement on being referred to as a star wife. She feels these terms are rather nepotistic in their meaning, and do not add value to her personal identification. In her words:
“We ought to get over it now. Maybe it was an association that one needed to make for recall value. But even if you put that on a kid, like you say star kid, people don’t like listening to ‘star kid’ for all of its nepotistic connotations and all of that. But that term is still in use, like it needs to kind of find its way out and likewise, I have never understood the concept of star wife, what does that mean?”

Further in the conversation, Mira also highlighted the disparity maintained between the wives of a male actor and the husbands of a female actor. Elaborating the fact that while it is easy to call the wife of a star as a ‘star-wife’, it does not happen the other way round, Mira mentioned:
"You can have an actor or celebrity or a star who has a wife or a husband, nobody says star husband, so why is there star wife? So I don’t even pay attention to it.”

In her personal life, Mira shares a fantastic bond with her mother-in-law, Neliima Azeem as well as her adorable devar, Ishaan Khatter.
