From Bollywood's quintessential chocolate boy during his earlier days in the 90s song, Aankhon Mein Tera Hi Chehra, Ishq Vishk amongst others to reintroducing himself as being not just a pretty face with his films like Kaminey, Haider, Udta Punjab and a lot more to come, Shahid Kapoor has indeed come a long way and his evolution in the past decade has been incredible. Even on the personal front, after varied linkups his many leading co-stars, Shahid married a non-industry Delhi-based girl, Mira Rajput and with two adorable kids, Misha Kapoor and Zain Kapoor, they are knitting their own sweet ‘happily ever after’.

On July 7, 2019, Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor had completed 4 years as husband and wife. To commemorate their milestone moment, Shahid and Mira had posted adorable anniversary messages for each other with never-seen-before pictures. While Mira had posted a picture from their wedding and had written, “You make my world and me go round #happy4”, Shahid gave us a glimpse of the very first picture of Mira that he had saved on his phone. Along with it, he had written, “Her first picture I saved on my phone. And now almost every second picture has her in it. She is #life. A few days back, Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor had featured on Vogue’s Wedding Book cover and make for one delightful pair. Shahid and Mira were twinning and winning the internet in their Anita Dongre’s black ensembles. While Shahid had looked dapper in a black tee paired with an embroidered jacket, Mira looked resplendent in her black lehenga as she posed with her hand under her chin and confidence on her face.
Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor have redefined couple fashion goals with their ethnic bests at various events. For instance, on their wedding, while Shahid had opted for a white kurta-pyjama along with a safa, his then-newbie bride, Mira had donned a simple a peach and green suit, with a shell maang-teeka and very minimal makeup. And for their sangeet, Shahid had donned a red kurta with a Nehru jacket and a black churidaar, while Mira sizzled in an Anita Dongre lehenga.
At another family wedding, Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor could be seen looking their best in ethnic outfits, as they twinned in the shades of white. When it came to his wedding, Shahid Kapoor was quite secretive about it and the ‘mystery’ girl he was then about to marry. But, after completing three months of their married life, Shahid had opened up in public about his wife, Mira Rajput, and had explained how he is totally in love with the life he is getting to live with her, “I love the fact that I go back home to a normal person, who talks about normal things; and who sometimes tells me, “I'm not interested in what's happening in your industry. Let's discuss what we are doing for lunch tomorrow or where are we going.” It's great and very healthy.”
Revealing how Mira Rajput Kapoor helps him become a better person every day, Shahid Kapoor had stated, “Mira and I communicate very well. That's one of the strongest qualities about us. They always say, ‘Be with someone who helps you become a better person.’ She makes me want to be a better person. And that shows that she is a really good person.” And how life had changed post-marriage, Shahid had continued, “I am in a very happy space. It’s a new beginning. Everything changes after marriage. You become a man. You feel responsible. When you are on your own, you feel, “It’s all good. Life’s going on.” But you feel responsible and thoughtful the moment you have someone to take care of. From now on, I will probably take more sensible decisions. I won’t be rash. The sense of freedom has now turned into a sense of responsibility."
