Popularly known as Bhallaldeva of Baahubali, Rana Daggubati had surprised all his fans when he had announced the news of being ‘taken’. Posting a loved-up picture with Miheeka, Rana had captioned it as "And she said 'yes' #MiheekaBajaj”. For the unversed, Miheeka is a Mumbai-based interior designer, who runs an event management and decor company, Dew Drop Design Studio. She is a London graduate, having completed her Masters in Interior Architecture from the University of the Arts, London.
The gorgeous couple, who is all set to tie the knot on August 8, 2020, has kickstarted their pre-wedding functions with a traditional haldi ceremony. Miheeka Bajaj looked stunning as she donned a yellow lehenga with green patchwork. She accentuated her traditional look with jewellery made of shells. Miheeka choose to go for a subtle makeup with kohled eyes and bright pink lipstick while leaving her hair open.
The most awaited wedding of the year is going to be an intimate affair, due to COVID-19. In an interview with The Times of India, Rana’s father, Daggubati Suresh Babu had revealed the details about his son’s wedding. Sharing that the ceremony will be a small but beautiful event, he had stated that there will be not more than 30 people and the guest list is limited to just close friends and family. The wedding will take place under a bio-secure bubble, which will be created as a precaution from COVID-19, along with it, all necessary safety measures will be taken. Rana’s father had shared, “Everybody who will attend the wedding will get tested for Covid-19. We will also keep sanitisers across the venue and maintain social distance. It’s a happy occasion and we want to make it a safe one too.” Miheeka Bajaj’s mother, Bunty Bajaj had also agreed to this and shared that safety comes first for them. She had said, “It’s a special day for all of us and we want to celebrate it the right way. Safety comes first and we will not compromise in this regard.”
On May 20, 2020, Rana Daggubati and Miheeka Bajaj’s families had sat together for a formal meeting to formalise a date for the couple’s engagement and marriage. Posting a picture with his beautiful fiancée, Miheeka, Rana had written, “And it’s official!!” Miheeka had also posted two pictures from the ceremony and had written, "To the beginning of forever @ranadaggubati" and "My happy place! @ranadaggubati". While there were speculations that it was from Rana and Miheeka's engagement ceremony, Rana had confirmed via his IG story that the pictures were from their roka ceremony.
During an Instagram live session with actress, Lakshmi Manchu, Rana Daggubati had opened up about how he had confessed his love to Miheeka. When asked how he had proposed her, the actor had replied, “I thought about it how to go and in the evening I confessed to Miheeka. She already had an idea of what was coming. I was too casual and no nervousness.” Rana had also revealed that his family was shocked to know that he had proposed marriage to Miheeka, but they were overwhelmed with happiness, especially his sister.
