Michelle Parker's ex-fiancé, Dale Smith Jr., allegedly offered USD 2K for sex a week before her disappearance
As per reports, Michelle Parker was last seen on November 17, 2011, after she dropped off her three-year-old twins at her ex-fiancé, Dale's home in Orlando. For those unaware, the former couple shared the twins’ custody. Now, according to newly unsealed court documents obtained by TMZ, investigators point to a text exchange from November 10, 2011, between Parker and Dale.

As per the documents, the mother of three rejected Dale's proposition and reportedly replied that she would take out a personal loan rather than accept money for sex. Parker texted Dale, writing, "Thought about your offer ... & will have to decline. I'd rather have a personal legal loan than feel like a whore." Dale, who is now charged with her murder, allegedly responded that he was not trying to make her feel that way.
Dale also insisted that he simply wanted to spend time with her. The arrest affidavit showed Michelle Parker pushing back during the exchange, accusing Dale of offering USD 2K in exchange for sex. Smith reportedly denied that the offer was a sexual transaction. Parker disappeared exactly one week after the alleged text exchange.
More about Michelle Parker's disappearance and her ex-fiancé, Dale Smith Jr.'s arrest
On the same day of Michelle Parker’s disappearance, an episode of The People's Court aired featuring the former couple battling over a USD 5K engagement ring. Michelle’s body was never found, but her abandoned Hummer was discovered the following day on November 18, 2011. Investigators now believe Parker’s ex-fiancé killed her inside his home after she dropped off their children, following weeks of bitter arguments over custody and their relationship.
Authorities also reportedly found scratch marks and abrasions on Dale that they believe could have been defensive wounds. The newly revealed text exchange is part of the evidence being examined in the case. In the prerecorded episode of The People's Court featuring Parker and Smith, the prime suspect in Parker’s murder claimed that the mother of three had thrown the engagement ring off a balcony after their messy breakup.
On the other hand, Parker told Judge Marilyn Milian that Smith had constantly cheated on her during the relationship. She mentioned that she tried to maintain the relationship for the kids. Michelle believed that her ex-fiancé could be deliberately hurtful and wanted to get back at people. She alleged that Dale wanted the engagement ring back and thus, she threw it to him.
Her iPhone was reportedly recovered from the water near the Nela Bridge in Belle Isle, south of Orlando, several weeks after her disappearance. Orlando police arrested Dale on October 14, 2026, following a renewed examination of the case. During these years, the investigators reviewed testimony, examined conflicting statements, and used updated digital forensic techniques to analyze the evidence.

Michelle was a 33-year-old mother of three from Orlando, Florida. According to the latest reports, Parker was likely choked to death by her ex-fiancé, Dale, hours after the former couple appeared on The People’s Court. An excerpt of the 46-page affidavit released by WKMG News 6 can be read as:
"It is believed the suspect killed the victim in his house after days of offensive messages, declining sex for cash, the embarrassing People's Court episode airing, and threatening to restrict his access to his children."
May justice prevail in the case.
