Punjab Kings delivered a terrific performance and defeated the Mumbai Indians in IPL 2026. The match had taken place at Wankhede Stadium, and PBKS made 198/3 and had many balls to spare. Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, had made 196 runs. Prabhsimran Singh and Shreyas Iyer were like the star performers. However, do you know the luck factor behind Prabhsimran's winning streak is actually his mom, Jasbir Kaur?
According to a report by Rediff, a heartfelt moment was seen at the IPL 2026. It was Prabhsimran Singh's mother, Jasbir, who had got home-cooked meals for the full Punjab Kings team. The gesture by her had given her a lot of praise after team members posted pictures and videos of the same on social media. In the viral video and pictures, Shreyas Iyer and Yuzvendra Chahal were seen enjoying tasty Punjabi food. Prabhsimran had expressed his gratitude to his mother and said that he would like to thank his mom for the same. Jasbir was seen coming home with home-cooked food for her son, Prabhsimran and all the other team members. Speaking on the same, Jasbir had shared:
"I brought food for all my children last year as well, and this year is no different."

The clip of Prabhsimran Singh's mother, Jasbir, cooking for the team had gone viral on social media and Ricky Ponting, who is the Head Coach of the Punjab Kings, had called the meals made by Jasbir 'beautiful'. Fans were in love with Jasbir's emotional and wholesome gesture. Ricky remembered how Prabhsimran's hit score increased after his mom got home-cooked meals for the team. As seen in the snaps and videos that surfaced on social media, Ricky Ponting, players of the Punjab Kings, were all seen enjoying home-cooked food. All of them, including the cricket staff, loved the vegetarian food coupled with fruit salad, custard and varied desserts. The coach, as claimed by Rediff in an interview, revealed:
"I was eagerly waiting for this meal. Last year, Prabhs’ mother cooked amazing food, and after eating it, he went on to score five consecutive half-centuries. I hope the same happens this year too.”

Yuvraj Singh has a big influence on the lives of the current generation of batters. One of them is Prabhsimran Singh, who has been guided a lot by Yuvraj Singh. Prabhsimran considers Yuvi Paaji as his elder brother and has admitted that his equation with Yuvraj is not of a student and a coach. Prabhsimran, once in an interview with The Times of India, revealed details of his bond with Yuvraj Singh. In his words:
"My relationship with Yuvi paaji is actually not like that of a coach or student... I have a big brother relationship with him, and yes, Priyansh (Arya) and I trained under him recently. It was Priyansh’s first time practicing with him."

Prabhsimran reveals that whenever he has some free time, he calls Yuvraj Singh and tells him that he is free and wants to practice with the former cricketer. Yuvraj ensures that the arrangements are done accordingly. Well, Prabhsimran has finally made his mark in the cricket ecosystem.
