Meet Tyler Vrabel, Mike Vrabel's Son As Family Celebrates His Engagement Amid Dianna Russini Row

After months of scrutiny, Mike Vrabel and his family recently had a reason to celebrate after his eldest son, Tyler Vrabel, got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Mariah Romano. The family shared glimpses of their celebration online. One of the pictures showed Mike happily posing with his wife, Jen, despite the ongoing controversy over his alleged connection to NFL reporter Dianna Russini. 

Who is Tyler Vrabel?

Tyler Vrabel has come into the spotlight after his fiancée, Mariah Romano, shared some pictures from their family celebration. She captioned it, writing, "The most perfect engagement surrounded by the people I love most." It featured Tyler and Mariah celebrating their special moments with their loved ones. It included Mike, Jen, and Tyler's younger brother, Carter. For those unaware, Tyler is the eldest son of Mike and Jen Vrabel. In turn, he has followed his father's footsteps to build a football career. 

He was born in June 2000 and plays football at Boston College. During his collegiate career, he has developed himself as a reliable offensive tackle. In fact, he has won numerous games and multiple All-ACC Honourable Mention selections. After he went undrafted in the 2022 NFL Draft, he signed with the Atlanta Falcons. It allowed him to spend time with the company and appear in two NFL games during the 2023 season. However, his player-career was comparatively short.

Eventually, some reports claim he retired from professional football in 2024 and returned to Boston College. Now, he works there as an offensive line consultant and assistant coach under head coach, Bill O'Brien. Now, his engagement marks a major milestone in Tyler's personal life. Meanwhile, his friends, family members and followers sent congratulatory messages after Mariah shared the pictures from their celebration. The event also gave fans a rare glimpse into the close-knit Vrabel family, who are united despite the controversy around Mike Vrabel's personal life. 

Who is Mariah Romano?

Tyler Vrabel' fiancee, Mariah Romano, has mostly kept a low-profile. She stays away from the spotlight. However, she has often appears in Tyler's social media posts. Together, the duo has shared posts about their travels, football outings, and special occasions together. According to reports, the couple has been dating for several years and shares a strong relationship.

Mariah is similar to Tyler's age and celebrated her 25th birthday in 2024. She has also had an active presence on social media. Mariah also expressed her gratitude for being surrounded by family and friends during the special moment.

While Tyler's engagement was the focus of the celebration, the event has once again drawn attention to the ongoing controversy about his father. Mike has been facing public heat after photos and videos surfaced showing him spending time with NFL reporter, Diana Russini. Soon, the images became a subject of public discussion. In turn, Mike released a statement confirming that he planned to seek counselling. He also explained that he wanted to become the best version of himself, his family, his team, and his organisation. 

Later, he reaffirmed his commitment to his family, telling reporters in May 2026, "My family is great. I love Jen, I love the boys." Some reports also suggested that Mike and Jen attended counselling together after the media attention on their private lives. Despite all the speculation about their marriage, the couple appeared together at Tyler's engagement celebration and smiled alongside their sons and future daughter-in-law.
