Dancing With the Stars will soon return with Season 35. While it's going to be a while before the show premieres, audience interest in who will grace the dance floor has reached an all-time high. So, as we wait for the official list to be announced, let's take a look at who has been confirmed yet and who was rumoured to be joining the show.
According to reports, the official list of participants will be released on September 2, 2026 (ET) during Good Morning America. The show will announce the full list of stars and professional dancers who will be a part of the 35th season of DWTS. However, that is not all; adding to the excitement, the network will debut its companion show, Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro, this summer, where a group of dancers will compete for a spot on the pro cast.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, showrunner, Conrad Green confirmed that the winner of The Next Pro "is secretly in the bank", and shed light on what working on the new spinoff taught them about the mainstay show. He was quoted as saying:
"[The Next Pro shows] just how many different skills you need to be a pro on Dancing With the Stars. Just being a good ballroom or Latin dancer is the basics. But you have to be able to do group dancing, choreograph, manage difficult people, manage time pressure, format a dance and choreograph for a one-minute routine that’s got moments that might get picked up on social media that might make your couple pop."

While the celebrity cast has not yet been fully released, executive producer and casting head, Deena Katz has already lined up a star-studded pool of competitors. And the first person confirmed to join the cast is Ciara Miller. The Summer House star will be competing on season 35. She rose to fame after joining the cast of Summer House in Season 5. She had more recently made headlines after her co-stars, West Wilson and Amanda Batula, confirmed their secret romance, with the former having previously dated Ciara. However, that is not all; the former nurse has been hosting several red carpet livestreams and competed on The Traitors.

Maura Higgins is all set to compete on Dancing With the Stars Season 35. The much-loved contestant from Love Island UK Season 5 will now be taking the ballroom by storm. Ever since her appearance on Love Island, Maura has hosted the Love Island USA after-show After Sun, and, more recently, she competed on The Traitors US, making it to the final two as a faithful before Rob Rausch shocked her by revealing he was a traitor.

Savannah Bananas fame, Jackson Olson, has also been confirmed to take part in the 35th season of Dancing With the Stars. The news was announced at ABC's Upfront presentation on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 (ET). According to reports, Jackson is one of the most popular players on the Savannah Bananas, an exhibition team playing a variation of baseball known as Banana Ball. The team is known for their TikTok performance videos.

Gymnast and the new Baywatch TV star, Livvy Dunne confirmed that the DWTS had reached out to her. In a TikTok comment, Livvy responded to a fan who asked her to compete on the hit series. A fan wrote to her, "U NEED TO GO ON DWTS." On the other hand, Flavor Flav also confirmed to PEOPLE that he was asked to be on the show as well. However, he refused to join the show. He said, "They want me to. They want me to come back and dance. I don’t know. I might do it if I think I could do it." The outlet asked if he thinks he would. He responded, "No, no, I don’t." For the unversed, Flavor acted as a guest judge during Season 34.
The Traitors winner, Rob Rausch is rumoured to join the cast this season, according to an unverified report from The Sun. The source told the news outlet that while there hasn't been any confirmation, the show has offered him a spot on the cast.

Rosie O'Donnell reposted an AI-generated image featuring her as part of the new cast and poked fun at the rumours. She shared the image, which features her with curly hair, on Instagram with the caption, "this made me laugh- reminds me to never get a perm !!! completely untrue but funny."
