The filmmaker, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, during a promotional event for the film, revealed this unheard talent about Medha, and added how many have mistaken the voice to be of Shreya Ghoshal. He mentioned:
“She is actually singing on location. Medha Shankar, when I was casting, I wanted to cast a girl who could sing. In the movie, it is not Shreya Ghoshal’s voice. It’s Medha Shankar singing on location – that’s location sound."
While the cine lovers are already impressed with Medha’s performance in the latest film, it is more about her beauty that has become the talk of the town. Well, the diva has become the internet sensation in no time, and has made everyone left in awe of her. Hailed as the national crush, the diva has left behind actresses like Triptii Dimri and Rashmika Mandanna. Currently, the actress enjoys 832K followers on Instagram. Previously, in an interview with DNA, Medha Shankr opened up about the immense success of her film, 12th Fail and talked about the kind of love and appreciation she has received for her performance in the same. The actress highlighted how it took a lot of time for her to soak in all the glory that came her way. She recalled the first screening of the film and mentioned getting teary-eyed for the kind of feedback she got from the live audience. In her words:
“We had started to have screenings before the movie released, so in Bhopal, where it was the first screening, I got really teary-eyed for the first time because it was me, Vikrant, Vidhu Sir watching the film with the audience and when the interval happened, the audience didn't let me walk from the last row to the exit door because they just hurdled around me for pictures. That was just a surreal moment for me, for somebody who comes from outside, worked hard for 6 years, and finally is getting her due. So that was one moment I felt, it was happening. And people are loving the movie more than we could have imagined.”
