In a pre-premiere interview, Kenzie talked about her plans for the show and was quoted as saying:

"I really do feel like I'm this big lovergirl inside. My parents are still in love, and it's beautiful how their marriage has grown. It's been 30 years. I want that kind of love. I was in love once, but I've been single for a year and a half. I'm so starving for some boys."

According to reports, Mackenzie 'Kenzie' Annis has made her reality TV debut with Love Island just days after graduating. The beauty is 24 years old and hails from Powder Springs, Georgia, which is also near where she went to school in Kennesaw.

What does Mackenzie 'Kenzie' Annis do for a living?

Before joining the cast of Love Island USA Season 8, Mackenzie 'Kenzie' Annis worked as a nanny while going to school to earn her nursing degree from Kennesaw State University. The Islander graduated from KSU in May 2026, just days prior to joining the rest of the cast on the Fiji island. She even took to her Instagram handle to share the good news with her followers and penned:

"All glory to God, I GRADUATED NURSING SCHOOL! Thank you, KSU, for some of the hardest, but best years of my life! I am happy to announce, I am now adding BSN to my name!"

Apart from school and her side work as a nanny, Mackenzie was also a competitive dancer, as she revealed in her Love Island USA Season 8 interview. She revealed that it helps her relieve stress. According to her Instagram handle, she used to dance with CK DanceWorks Inc. At the National Finals in 2017, she placed 17th in the Top Intermediate Solo 15-19 category. During the interview, she was quoted as saying:

"I used to be a competitive dancer, so every morning I wake up [and] do my split. It gets rid of so much stress if you just express that groin and lie, you will feel amazing."

What is the controversy around Mackenzie 'Kenzie' Annis?

Ahead of the Love Island USA Season 8 premiere, old photos of Kenzie seemingly wearing "Make America Great Again" merchandise began circulating online, sparking backlash. However, soon after, in a conversation with TMZ, her father denied that his daughter and their family were supporters of President Trump. Even her brother, Alden, defended their stance in a TikTok video and was quoted as saying:

"My family and I are very against the Trump administration. We have never voted for Donald Trump. It's really just been weighing down on me, the things I have seen people online saying about my sister, just from short… two pictures, three pictures or something. Today, she is not… She's an amazing woman. She's a huge role model to me. So, it's just really hard to hear these false accusations."
