Meet Brock Lesnar's Wife, Rena 'Sable' Lesnar, Sued WWE, Left The Ring For Husband, Mom Of Three

Brock Lesnar is all set to battle Oba Femi in the upcoming Wrestlemania. The star will be participating in the show's 42nd season, and fans cannot wait to see him fight. Amid that, his personal life has also come into the limelight. So, let's take a look at her wife, former WWE Diva, Sable.

Brock's wife, Sable, made her WWE debut in 1996 and, two years later, won the Women's Championship at the Survivor Series. Her signature catchphrase before every match was, "This is for all the women who want to be me, and the men who come to see me." She left WWE in 1999, returning in 2003.

Who is Brock Lesnar's wife, Sable?

Rena Marlette Greek, professionally known as Sabel, was born on August 8, 1967, in Jacksonville. She once revealed in a conversation with the Ottawa Sun that she never imagined ending up in the sport. Before stepping into the ring, she was a model for brands like L'Oreal, Guess and Pepsi. As for her on-screen persona, the WWE star enjoyed portraying someone vastly different from her. Talking about Sable, she said, "Sable has become self-absorbed, egotistical...she doesn't care about anyone else. That's so unlike the way I am in real life, but it's a fun character to play. It's nice to play a villain. As a bad person, I can say or do whatever I want."

Sable sued the World Wrestling Federation in 1999

It was in 1999 when Sable sued the World Wrestling Federation for USD 110 million. According to E! News, she alleged sexual harassment and unsafe working conditions. She also claimed that the WWF asked her to take her top off in the ring. A lawyer for the federation said that the entire suit was full of "provably false accusations". In a conversation with TV Guide, she stated:

"I was asked to go into the ring and perform things I was very uncomfortable with — doing jumps from high ropes in five-inch heels. Right after I told them I would not do that, it was scripted for me to lose my belt."

Sabel was previously married to Marc Mero

Before marrying Brock, Sabel was married to professional wrestler, Marc Mero. They tied the knot in 1994 and parted ways in 2004. Both Marc and Sabel quit the sport after Sabel made the allegations against the WWF. The couple moved to Studio City, California, where she pursued a career in acting. At the time, Mero stayed home with their daughter, Mariah, whom Sable welcomed with her late husband, Wayne Richardson. However, soon after Sable made her comeback, Marc got the biggest shock of his life. He found out that Sable was in love with another wrestler. In a conversation on The Steve Austin Show, Marc said:

"My heart was broken. You can't sleep, you can't eat, you're sweating. And I remember thinking, 'When I find out who this guy is, I'm going to kick the living tar out of this man!' And then, I found out it was Brock Lesnar!"

Brock Lesnar proposed to Sable after breaking into her house

In Brock's autobiography, he revealed that, for two weeks after she returned to her house in Florida, Sable wouldn't answer the phone or return his calls. However, to show her how serious he was about building a life with her, Brock travelled to Orlando, but Sable was not there. He broke into her house and waited for her. He then proposed to her by the waterfall at the Orlando airport. He wrote:

"I saw a neighbour standing by his garage, and I knew he had seen me around with Rena enough to know we were a couple. That was a lucky break for me, because the guy never got suspicious. I used the screwdriver he loaned me to get into one of her sliding doors, and of course the alarm goes off as soon as I get into the house. I knew the pass code, so I shut off the alarm, and now I’m inside."

Brock Lesnar was the reason behind Sable's exit from WWE

In his memoir, Brock further revealed that before he could marry Sable, he needed her to quit WWE. He revealed that he knew that neither of them could work for the company if they wanted their relationship to last. He shared how it was his "only demand. Nothing else. Just that." Sable quit WWE in 2004, with Brock acknowledging in his memoir that "she had worked so hard to get back into that company, and now she was leaving it again, except this time she was giving up her career for me."

Sable and Brock Lesnar have two sons together

Apart from Sable's daughter from her first marriage, she and Brock share two sons, Turk and Duke. The wrestler wrote in his memoir that he left his wife alone during one of her pregnancies while he trained for a fight. He revealed that he was grateful for his wife's understanding. He added, "She went through the last part of her pregnancy practically alone while I trained. But she understood, and she couldn’t have been more supportive."
