Ayaan Agnihotri is the nephew of Bollywood superstar, Salman Khan

Ayaan Agnihotri was born in 1998 to the filmmaker, Atul Agnihotri and fashion designer, Alvira Khan Agnihotri. Ayaan's mother, Alvira is the elder sister of Bollywood superstar, Salman Khan, making the musician a part of one of Bollywood's most popular families. Even though he comes from a strong family background, Ayaan chose to build his career without any help from them. Apart from this, Ayaan also has a younger sister, Alizeh Agnihotri. It is worth mentioning that Alizeh has appeared in a few films like Farrey and Hello.

During an old interview with News18, singer, Ayaan had once spoken about the superstar, Salman Khan. He had shared that the Sultan actor is a very fun personality as he loves to crack jokes, prank people and scare them. He also explained that the entire family is like a child at heart. Ayaan had shared:

"Salman mamu, he’s a jokester. He’s really funny. He’s the one who will pull your leg, prank you, and scare you at times. All of them have a playful nature. They are childlike at heart."

Ayaan Agnihotri’s stage name is 'Agni'

Ayaan made his official debut as a singer with the single, Universal Law. The track showed his love for soulful music. It also established him as an amazing singer and not some nepo-kid, who was just experimenting. Over the years, he continued to write, compose and perform more songs. For the unversed, he opted for 'Agni' as his stage name, because it means fire and energy. 

During an old interview with the Hindustan Times, the singer had opened up about his singing career. Ayaan had revealed that he had written his first song eight years ago; however, he wasn't satisfied with his delivery and performance. So, he took his own time to improve, before releasing the song. He was quoted as saying:

"I kept my writing and music very confidential because even though I had a fond passion for it, I didn't feel that I was there yet. I knew I sounded bad, and my accent was heavier. I knew my delivery wasn't as good, and my breath control wasn't great. There was a lot of scope for improvement. If I'm going to go out there and tell everybody that this is what I'm going to do, then I'd better be good at it. And that's why it was eight years of just refining."

Ayaan Agnihotri has also worked with Salman Khan

Apart from his powerful debut, Ayaan Agnihotri has also worked with his mamu, Salman Khan, You Are Mine. For those who do not know, the song was composed by Vishal Mishra while Ayaan took control of the rap part. At that time, Ayaan gave an interview to News18, during which he shared his experience of working with the superstar. He had shared:

"With mamu, what happens is that if I or any of my siblings and cousins go up to him and tell him that we want to do something, he tells us to go do it and then show him. Only if he likes it, he let us know if he wants to be a part of it. It’s never like, ‘Oh, let’s do it!"

Ayaan Agnihotri’s film career and social media presence

Apart from a singing career, Salman Khan’s nephew, Ayaan Agnihotri also has an acting career. If reports are to be believed, Ayaan had appeared in a couple of films. Some of which include Hello and Message Sent, which was released in 2020. Talking about his social media presence, Ayaan has an Instagram account with over 216k followers. His bio can be read as, “Dreaming about life.” Ayaan often shares heartfelt moments from his daily life on his social media account.

Ayaan Agnihotri got engaged to his longtime girlfriend

On January 3, 2026, singer, Ayaan Agnihotri took to his Instagram handle to announce his engagement with his longtime partner, Tina Rijhwani. Along with some cutesy photos, the musician had revealed that he has left his girlfriend behind in 2025 and is now moving ahead with his fiancee. While there is not much information available about Tina, Ayaan’s post included a solo photo of her flaunting her ring. It is worth mentioning that Tina has a private Instagram account with around 1,328 followers.
