Julian and Maria Emilia met when they were 9 or 10 years old. They were childhood friends and stayed close even after Julian moved to Europe to pursue his football career. "We met when we were 9 or 10 years old. She would come to visit her grandfather in Calchin and we had the same group of friends. On June 23, 2025, Maria took to her Instagram handle to share that she was expecting her first baby with Julian. Sharing some adorable snaps, Maria penned a heartfelt note. In the pictures, Maria was seen holding a pregnancy kit, while Julian was seen holding a sonogram picture and the duo posed for the camera along with their furry baby, Tarzan. She wrote:
"Official photo of the new starting lineup! Dad, Mom, Tarzan… and the next signing on the way! We're so happy! We're waiting for you with all the love in the world."
Out of wedlock, Maria and Julian welcomed their first child, a baby boy in January 2026. They named their son, Amadeo.
