Matt Brown Shared Cryptic Last Post Hours Before Alaskan Bush People Star's Family Feared He's Dead

Former Alaskan Bush People star, Matt Brown is currently missing. The actor, who starred in the show from 2014 to 2019, has a history of struggles with substance abuse and alcoholism. Following his disappearance, his brother, Bear Brown, shared in a TikTok video that he and the Brown family fear that Matt might not be missing, but instead dead. Bear suspects that Matt might have commited suicide on the night of May 28, 2026. The suspicion emerged after the police found an unidentified male floating face down in Washington's Okanogan River a day before.

A relative confirmed spotting Matt near that exact campground where the body was found, just hours before the call to emergency services. All that circumstantial evidence made Bear worry that the body found in the river belonged to his brother. As per him, Matt's mental health recently deteriorated due to his substance abuse and breakup, during which he also distanced himself from family. Additionally, he also posted a cryptic note just hours before he was last spotted alive, adding on to the theory that he took his own life.

What was Matt Brown's last cryptic post before his disappearance about?

Matt Brown dropped a cryptic last post hours before he was last spotted by a relative in public. As his family shared their fears that he might have unalived himself, the post gained traction. It was about the ever-changing nature of relationships, letting go of painful connections, and the necessity of being true to oneself. The post had a depressing tone when it discussed people being abandoned. However, it was hopeful in the part where he talked about accepting changing feelings and priorities as part of life and moving on. The post could be read as:

"Feelings shift. Priorities change. Connections fade. That's part of life, no matter how painful it is to accept. The strongest people aren't the ones who never get abandoned. They're the ones who learn how to rebuild themselves after disappointment without losing their softness. So appreciate people. Love deeply. Be genuine."

Matt stated that we should value others and love them; however, we should prioritise ourselves first. We should not lose our sense of self because we are too invested in someone else. He talked of rebuilding oneself after a setback and never trying to hold back someone who's already made up their mind to leave. The entire post seemed to have come from Matt's personal experience of being abandoned by someone he treasured. If that was the case, he most likely meant his lover or family. Although nobody knows why such thoughts and feelings emerged in him, the post has now become a crucial clue to his disappearance. It included:

"Never lose yourself trying to hold onto someone who has already let go. At the end of the day, your relationship with yourself is the one that must survive every version of your life."

Matt Brown posted another similar cryptic note

Matt Brown posted another cryptic note before the one about letting go of painful relationships. It was a bit more motivational in tone and emphasised that people need to get up and work to improve their lives. As per Matt, nobody should lie in bed all day, even if they aren't in the best spirits. He hoped everyone could find something that gives them the strength to keep going. His exact words were:

"Sometimes, the hardest task you must do everyday is to keep going. You know you can just lay there on your bed the whole day, but something inside you whispers hope to get up and urge you to fix yourself."
