Shah Rukh Khan is all set to break the box-office records yet again, post the magnanimous success of his films like Jawan and Pathan. Collaborating with the ace filmmaker, Rajkumar Hirani for the first time ever, Shah Rukh Khan will be starring next in the film, Dunki, which is slated to release on December 22, 2023. Moreover, the film’s teaser was released on November 2, 2023, and the date was specially made to coincide with SRK’s birthday. Apart from King Khan, the film also stars Vicky Kaushal, Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani, Satish Shah among others. To begin with, Shah Rukh Khan is all set to play the main protagonist in the film, and the name of his character, as per the recently launched teaser is ‘Hardy’. It is interesting to note at this point that Dunki would be SRK’s next release after super successful films like Jawan and Pathan. There were rumours earlier that SRK might’ve hiked his fees to Rs. 100 crores, in accordance with the success of his recent releases. However, it seems the speculations were baseless, as the superstar has reportedly charged Rs. 28 crores for Dunki.

Up next, in the teaser video, we spot Vicky Kaushal navigating the character of ‘Sukhi’ in the film, Dunki. There can be no doubt that Vicky is already an established star in the film business and has recorded several awards and prestigious accolades to his kitty since. Interestingly, for Vicky, this isn’t the first time where he collaborated with a talented director like Rajkumar Hirani, as the duo previously came together for the film, Sanju. According to several reports, Vicky is charging a remuneration of Rs. 12 crores for Dunki.
The only female protagonist in the film, Taapsee Pannu is essaying the role of the bubbly girl, ‘Manu’ in Dunki. Among other contemporaries of her age, Taapsee is rightfully hailed as one of the most talented divas, and is known for her powerful screen presence. She would be working with stalwarts like Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani for the first time in this film. Reportedly, for such a pivotal role, the actress has charged a fees of Rs. 11 crores.

Satish Shah is one of the most popular and veteran actors in the film industry. The actor is best remembered for his perfect comic timing, which effortlessly puts a smile onto the faces of the audience. Coming together with Shah Rukh Khan so long after the film, Main Hoon Na¸ Satish would be playing an integral part in the screenplay of Dunki. According to the buzz, the actor has charged Rs. 7 crores for the role.
Rajkumar Hirani’s association with the actor, Boman Irani has always brought up some much-loved films on the celluloid. The duo have brought films like Munna Bhai M.B.B.S, 3 Idiots, PK for the fans, and each of the performances of the actor has been incredible. One glimpse at the teaser of Dunki, we can spot Boman essaying the role of a teacher named 'Gulati'. For his impeccable performance in the film, the actor has charged a remuneration of Rs. 15 crores for the film.
