If someone would have told us when we were a kid that we would find future husband/wife, sitting right next to us in school and with whom, we would often share our lunches with them, then we wouldn’t have believed them. From growing up together to entering the confusing phase of teenage and then adulthood, you experience many firsts together. Nostalgia becomes amazing as you share some beautiful memories with one another and proving everyone wrong, who once called your relationship ‘immature’ and believed that It wouldn’t last. Marrying your school sweetheart is one wonderful feeling as you get lucky to find a partner and love them at a young age. Maniesh Paul and Sanyukta Paul too found each other at an early age as they both had studied in Apeejay School, Sheikh Sarai, New Delhi and it was in 12th standard when the former confessed his liking for her.
Fast forward to 2020, Maniesh Paul and Sanyukta Paul completed 13 years of married life. Having met each other at the age of 4, Maniesh and Sanyukta’s love journey is one interesting tale. Revealing the same in his anniversary wish, Maniesh wrote, “I met her when we were 4 years old...we were in the same class, same school...I was always the naughty one, she was always the prim and proper one...I hated studies, she loved them...I loved the stage, she didn’t...I never did my homework, she did mine too...I was annoying, but she saw me for what I was and finally we started dating In 12th standard... One day I planned to move to Mumbai (2005) & she stood by me...I was alone here with no work...she stood by me... Finally got married to her in 2007.”
Maniesh Paul revealed how his wife, Sanyukta Paul stood by him throughout his ‘zones’ and never complained. His wish continued, “All was good and suddenly, I decided to leave everything and wait for the work which made me happy...she stood by me...took a year for me to get back to work.. she stood by me...I’m moody...I’m a workaholic...I talk nonstop...I have my zones...she never complains and lets me be... In an interview with The Statesman, Maniesh Paul had shared how the love of his life, Sanyukta Paul has been with him since kindergarten. Calling her his ‘hero’, Maniesh had remarked, “Sanyukta and I have known each other since kindergarten. She has been a constant support for me since then. Right from doing my homework to completing my assignments, she has always been there. We got married in 2007, and 2008 was a very difficult year for me as I didn’t have any work. Sanyukta told me to follow my passion and decided to support the household by working throughout the year. She is my hero.”
Rating himself 10/10 as a husband and a father, the family man Maniesh Paul had shared in an interview with The Times of India, “I am the same in real life as well. The only time when I’m not so bubbly Is when I’m sleeping. Otherwise, I’m constantly talking and entertaining everyone around me. Sometimes, I just take a few days off and spend time with my wife and my daughter. When my fans come to me and say — If we are In a bad mood, you make us laugh and make our day — It Is the biggest compliment ever and I’m happy with the way my career has shaped up so far. I would give myself a 10/10 as a husband and father. Seriously speaking, I have only been able to balance my work life and personal life well because of all the support from my wife.”
On August 3, 2019, when Maniesh Paul had turned 38, his wife, Sanyukta Paul penned down a heartfelt wish for the birthday boy. Sharing a monochrome picture, Sanyukta had written, “There will never be enough that I can say...to someone who prioritises work over everything & then prioritises us over work!
