Malaika Arora is extremely close to her parents, Anil Arora and her mother, Joyce Polycarp. However, now it seems that it is a difficult period for the Arora family as Malaika's father was admitted to the hospital, and she was spotted outside the hospital along with her mother. For the unversed, Malaika was earlier married to the actor, Arbaaz Khan, and after living in marital bliss for over 17 years, they announced their separation in 2016 and got divorced in 2017. Now, they are co-parenting their son, Arhaan Khan and she is in a relationship with another actor, Arjun Kapoor.
On July 6, 2023, Malaika Arora was spotted outside a hospital along with her mother, Joyce Polycarp. As per the pap who posted the video, Malaika's dad, Anil Arora is admitted to the hospital, and the mother-daughter duo came to visit him. While leaving the hospital premises, Malaika was seen holding her mother's hand to support her while climbing down the stairs. She was also seen helping her get inside the car, proving how responsible Malaika is towards her parents.

Later, the actress too boarded the car and left the place. In the video, both Malaika and her mom were seen wearing casual outfits paired with face masks. However, they looked tired and worried about her father's health.

In an old interview with Pinkvilla, Malaika shared that although she learned to deal with trolling, it was not the same for her parents as they would get affected by it. She revealed that her parents often would come up to her telling what people have commented. Malaika shared that her parents would keep saying, 'Beta, someone said this or that'. Thus, one fine day, she sat with them and said, "Enough! Stop reading this garbage. It is complete BS. Please do not focus your energies on this". However, she felt that her parents were upset about this. But after that day, the doting parents never came up again to their daughter.

In addition, Arjun shares a beautiful bond with Malaika's parents and proof of the same is often found in their public appearances. For instance, during one Easter celebration, Malaika and Arjun were spotted outside her parents' home for lunch. For the day, Malaika stunned in a Johanna Ortiz's yellow-cloured tulip print flowy dress. Malaika's gold pendant with her initials 'M' was the highlight of her look. On the other hand, her beau, Arjun kept it casual in a t-shirt.
