She added that if she had to be with somebody, it would be on her own terms. She was quoted as saying:
"It's irritating now. I just treat it as a joke. Arhaan and me, [we] have a good laugh about a lot of these things. I can't plan these things. If it has to happen, it will happen. Right now, I'm so happy exploring all of this that's going on in my life. That's what's really motivating me, and I think yes, of course, companionship, a partner, all that is ... it's wonderful. If I have to be with somebody, I'll do it on my own terms."

In a recent interview with Zoom, Sorab Bedi addressed the ongoing dating rumours with Malaika Arora. He expressed his disappointment about the same. He shut down the rumours and shared how he met Malaika Arora. Sorab clarified that he and Malaika are just friends and nothing else. Sorab mentioned that he became friends with Delnaz Daruwala and Vahbiz Mehta, who gave him a chance to walk the ramp during his modelling days. At one party, they introduced him to Bollywood actress, Malaika Arora. Sorab was quoted as saying:
"Delnaz Daruwala and Vahbiz Mehta gave me a chance to walk the ramp during my modelling days. I became friends with them and started going out for parties. At one of the parties, I met Malaika (Arora) through my mentors. She is also a close friend of Delnaz and Vahbiz. Hence, Malaika and I became friends. There is nothing between us."

Malaika Arora tied the knot to the Bollywood actor-director-producer, Arbaaz Khan, in 1998. The former couple crossed paths during a coffee ad shoot. After dating for years, Malaika and Arbaaz decided to get married. After 4 years of marriage, the duo welcomed their son, Arhaan Khan, in 2002. They decided to part ways in 2016. The two officially got divorced in 2017 and cited compatibility issues. Speaking about the same, Malaika once told Pinkvilla:
"I would have loved for my marriage to be forever, but that didn't happen. But that doesn't mean I have lost faith in love. It doesn't mean I could have changed the course of my life, no! Things that have been meant to happen, happened. There were many situations where one tries to work on things to make sure something good comes out. But I think it came to a point where we decided that ye nahi chalne wala hai. At that point, I needed to be happy before trying to work anything else out or making anybody else happy; I was not happy."
