Mahhi Vij And Jay Bhanushali Were Lovers 'In Past Lifetime' Died After Getting Caught By Family

The famous reality show, Lock Upp, which first premiered in 2022 and was hosted by Kangana Ranaut, is going to be back with another renewed season after four years. This time, the show will be hosted by Riteish Dehmukh and Farah Khan. As fans are speculating, who might be part of it? Reports are rife that Mahhi Vij might enter the show.

Mahhi Vij might be part of Lock Upp

Ekta Kapoor's Lock Upp is all set to be back with a renewed season. Many prominent names might be part of it, and reports are rife that Mahhi Vij might also join the reality show. The makers are currently in talks with Mahhi to be part of the show, and the conversation is reportedly progressing in a positive direction.

It is also revealed that Mahhi had a couple of meetings with the makers, and the process is in its final stages. However, it is worth mentioning that no official announcement regarding Mahhi's participation has yet been made either by Mahhi or the show's team. But fans are super excited to see Mahhi part of the reality show. 

Mahhi Vij participated in the reality show, Raaz Pichle Janam Ka

It is worth mentioning that this is not Mahhi's first reality show stint. Earlier, she was part of Raaz Pichle Janam Ka. For the unversed, it was a reality show which showed past-life regression sessions of famous celebrities. Many names like Sambhavna Seth, Payal Rohatgi, Shekhar Sumar, Monica Bedi, and more were part of it. Mahhi also participated in the show and found out about her past life.

In the 2010 show, Raaz Pichle Janam Ka, hosted by Ravi Shankar, Dr Tripti Jain would take the celebrities back to their past lives to find answers to their questions. In the show, Mahhi Vij was seen recounting her past life experience, where she was a princess in Egypt. Her name was Sophia, and it was around 1838. She found out during the session that she was caught having an affair with a servant.

The man she fell in love with was none other than her ex-partner, Jay Bhanushali, in the current lifetime. As a punishment, Mahhi was confined to a dark room, where she was forced to live alone, and in that dungeon, she found out that she was pregnant. She died there with no food or water. After the session was over, Mahhi revealed that she had seen her partner, Jay Bhanushali, as her lover in that lifetime. She also realised why she was scared of dark places. Later, in a press release, Mahhi revealed that she never believed in such stories about past lives, but her experience changed her thoughts. 

Mahhi Vij and Jay Bhanushali's divorce announcement

On January 4, 2026, Mahhi and Jay took to their social media handle, Instagram, and shared a joint post. They announced their divorce. In the long note, Mahhi and Jay confirmed that they have chosen to part ways in the journey called life, yet they have each other's backs. Mahhi and Jay further affirmed that for the sake of their three children, they commit to being the best parents and best friends. The statement can be read as:

"Today we choose to part ways on a journey called life, yet we continue to have each other's back. Peace, growth, kindness and humanity have always been our guiding values. For the sake of our children - Tara, Khushi, Rajveer, we commit to being the best parents, the best friends and whatever else it takes to do what is right for them."

Jay and Mahhi further clarified in their statement that while they chose to part ways, there is no villain involved, and the decision is not made out of negativity. They added that before anyone tries to draw a conclusion, they chose peace over drama. They continue to respect each other.
