The duo had a secret wedding but they had shut all the gossipmonger's mouth with their dreamy Las Vegas' white wedding. Their love grew ever since they said their vows, and we remember how Jay had shared that Mahhi truly became the guiding force in his life.
After nine years of 'happily ever after', the couple is all set to welcome the love of their life into the world as they embrace parenthood. But with the happy news, comes the brigade of gossipmongers, who have their own opinions and theories. So, on July 2, 2019, Mahhi shut them all with her Instagram post. She talked about her choice of embracing motherhood late, and wrote, "After so many messages on infertility!! I want to put this straight to all that I was not going through any infertility issues! Mahhi further shared how she wanted to be a better child first before raising a child, "I had my own share of responsibilities towards my parents...to have a child is beautiful...but to be a responsible child is much more...I choose the later.....be a good child to have one... enjoy cheers #daughterfirst #motherhood". Coming back to Jay and Mahhi's relationship, last year, the actor had left his wife in tears on Zee Tv's show, Juzzbaatt as he swept her off her feet by promising to take forward the baby's plan. He had said, "We have been discussing having babies for a while now, so let us take this forward." His words left Mahhi surprised and she wasn't able to control her happy tears.
For those who don't know, after seven years of marriage, the couple took the role of parents as they adopted their caretakers' children. They didn't only fund their education but also made sure to spend enough time with them. In an interview with BollywoodLife, Mahhi had shared, "A lot of people keep asking my friends if they are our kids because we feel that they are our kids. We want to give the best in our capabilities. I don’t care what people say they have all the time in the world to talk. They stay with us we have no issues of them being a part of our space. Kids are adorable, Jay and I love them. We want to educate them and yes in the future even if we have our own kids we will give the same life. We will not differentiate."
